PSA: Attacking Whille in Bush Reveals You and Everybody in the Bush

I'm not sure where new players would learn this, since I observed this years ago. Maybe Riot can add it as a useful tip at the beginning of games.

I dislike getting paired with teammates that lack fundamental game knowledge like that. And when I do tell them this bit of information, I'm usually met with "stfu." You know, cause trying to keep your teammate from doing a stupid damage trade of half their health for one auto-attack with a bit of helpful game knowledge is an insult to some degree.

AUTO-attacking while in the bush always reveals you and your teammates visually. Skill shots don't always do that, though I am unsure if some skill shots do.

Cases in point:

Jhin W definitely does not visually reveal Jhin if he fires it from the bush. Blitzcrank Q definitely does not visually reveal Blitzcrank until the enemy he pulled actually enters the bush. Rengar E definitely does not visually reveal Rengar if he fires it from the bush.

Obviously, the enemy knows you're there, but they can't actually SEE that you're there, nor can they see who else from your team is in the bush.

I hate how much this can effect things in Aram. If you're just gonna take a potshots (e.g. Lux E or Xerath pole or Ziggs) and you have an ally positioning to take an enemy by surprise with a high-impact high-cd skillshot or engage (Voli, Blitz, Morgana, Cho'Gath), step out of the bush! Sure, the element of surprise will help you land your poke, but you don't need it nearly as much.

People see me in bushes regardless. No wards, no autos while solo, no snowball, no Ashe/Quinn vision. I do nothing in a clear bush and still people can see me often and proceed to auto me down.

I fucking hate how bushes randomly function fine one minute then not at all the next go around.

I can be in a bush hugging an enemy and lose vision on them.

Literally every ARAM there is always that "one guy" Everyone waiting in a bush at the start. That ONE GUY suddenly throws out an ability that wasn't in range to hit anyways (and wouldn't have hit had it been), and everyone sitting in the bush is just like "...really?"

Tfw you're playing ARAM and the other team doesn't know you're in the bush and then your teammate walks into it and autoattacks revealing you and you get blitz hooked under tower and die

Heimerdinger in ARAM. 90% of them put their turrets in the bushes. Why? I have no idea. All they do is make it so the rest of the team can't use the bushes to surprise attack. And if you point that out to them they ignore you and continue to put their turrets in the bush.

Ha! I had a game just last night where the enemy Heimer was putting his turrets in the bushes and I thought of telling him. But then I was like "Nah. I would rather win."

It does not reveal EVERYBODY in the bush. It only reveals the immediate area around the person that attacked. Non-skillshots/auto-attack will likely reveal that user of that attack, and the immediate area around that person.

I never had a problem with this, and I even used this fact (very rarely, but surely) to my advantage as bait in the bottom lane. I would have my ally on one end of the brush with me standing near the other end. One of us reveal (usually the adc does since the adc is priority) oneself in the bush, while the other who isn't attacking stays hidden.

honestly I upvoted because I didn't know the second part-

mainly because ive never observed it. usually when I'm in brush, I'm alone so it never occurred to me that it may reveal allies too
