Tryndamere's splitpushing is just retarded

Conturbatio··27 votes·2,706 views

He literally went 1/19/0 last game without leaving top lane AT ALL, never helped his team, just soloing the game the whole match. We've killed him manytimes, CCed him, but he still comes back for turrets and inhibitors. He doesn't even try to dodge skillshots/cc, just stood by the turret melting it when the whole team was attacking him... "Oh look I'm about to die, nah I'll just press R and die after taking the objective."Tryndamere The jungler & I (top laner) babysitted the hell out of him, no good...

I think that his ult should be nerfed, either increase the CD, reduce the immunity duration to 3 seconds, OR give him a debuff while ult is active to make debuffs 50%-30% more effective (blind, stun, slow....etc) At least that'll help players stop his splitpushing.

Just look at this BS: http://i.imgur.com/pErHmpC.png[/img]

Well.

  • Your team has no tank. You're in fact mostly squishies.
  • You picked a champion based around making lanning hell. When he doesn't even have to care after a few items.
  • Your waveclear is poor. Even if you could 5v4 them. You couldn't stop their tower pushes if you wanted to.
  • They had stronger teamfighting by quite a bit. As well as stronger poke and picks.
  • Your team comp is just bad in general.
  • Shaco and Veigar are the only two who did any good. Looks like ADC got shut down in lane. Veigar isn't that great vs a team that has most of it's magic damage on their ADC and support. And neither is going to get AP.

Facing a Trynd means you have to take advantage of being able to 4v5 the enemy team and win. 5 people will push a tower better than 1. In which case you can send 1-2 players to stop him as the other 3 push towers since you should be able to win teamfights and force them back.

This wasn't a trynd problem. It's a team problem.

Not that his split pushing isn't stupid. But you're just looking to point fingers.

Veigar has never relied on the enemy AP do do increased damage. At least, on old veigar when I used to play him you ended up playing against so many AD mids you don't even bother trying to factor it into your damage.

Also your full burst generally kills the ADC regardless of their AP or not. Not sure why them not building AP has any relevance to anything.

Yet another champion that you can completely dominate and they still win the game despite obviously being played by a lower skill player. A champion that is 1/19 shouldn't be a factor in the game at that point at all.

Just pick Nasus and destroy Tryndamere at his own game.

This is true

Conturbatio3 votes

But I picked Teemo before he picked Tryndamere (draft pick) + I've already destroyed him sooooo hard in lane.

But yeh, Nasus's W is a nightmare for split push Tryndamere :)

Only Play Darius1 votes

Past laning phase, Teemo can't deal with Tryndamere 1v1. He is just too squishy and Trynd can 3 shot him.

Same goes for Teemo vs. Nasus.

Conturbatio1 votes

Lol nope, I had no problem killing tryndamere, but he kept split pushing, that's the problem. Q to blind him and 3 shot him.

Only Play Darius4 votes

Then why didn't you just keep splitpushing against him if you could 1v1 him?

Conturbatio1 votes

Because I needed to help my team since this game is 5v5 not 1v1.

You could have helped your team by splitpushing against him and taking objectives. Teemo is a good splitpusher.

If you could easily 1v1 Tryndamere (and you probably could, considering how much more gold you had than him), why didn't you just splitpush against him?

3tyson6 votes

he actualy gets a buff while he ults wich is fine as it is i think if he just sits there and dies than you have time to take an objective

you could also kil him like waaaaaaaay before hes at tower you know ?

Lugg14 votes

The problem is that you have to send 3 people to kill him and then the other team takes whatever they want while you are doing that.

3tyson4 votes

no you need to understand to push lanes first so they cant get objectives now you 3 v 1 tryndamere if it takes you 3 man wich really isnt always needed... but w/e especialy if its a 1 - 17 troldamre

and at this point you force a teamfight since al they have is 4 man instead of 5 and you win that teamfight than what they gonne do you got the entire map for yourself now

Lugg1 votes

I agree with your plan, it's just good luck getting people on your team to do it.

3tyson2 votes

same goes for katarina if she stays behind and triest to cleanup once people are low all you really need to do is peel her of your team it works

but good luck explaining your team mates to keep their cc for kat and not all inning the first person theyl see with all their ults cc and w/e they got

Rrett6 votes

well if he's 1/19, no, no you absolutely do not. They probably sent 2 people for no reason and were just wasting a person.

Lugg3 votes

Once Trynd has his items, it doesn't matter what his scoreline is. That's the whole point of this thread, he carries regardless of whether he got fed.

Rrett1 votes

Can't tell if you're trolling or not...

Lugg1 votes

Once Trynd gets LW and damage items, he can kill anyone in the game. That is what the OP is talking about, he can still splitpush and you have to commit a lot of resources to stop him regardless of whether he had a bad early game or not.

no teemo should of been able to deal with tryn. auto him till he e's into you and just blind him with a q. tryn now can't do any damage and if you drop a shroom he will be slowed and won't be able to e again because he didn't land any crits because he could hit you. they lost because they as a team weren't good enough to win.

What do you do if you don't have a Teemo on your team?

i was saying that his teemo and the way he built will destroy tryn hands down. If you are a bruiser top laner, getting randuins and frozen heart will help. Also tryn sort of hates thronmail. he feels it, than for 2.5 seconds he won't.

We send more people for the cc not burst, since he can tank everything for 5 seconds and melt our turrets...

you are sending them too late. turrets get a huge armour buff when no minions are near it. Also if he is always back dooring why not just buy wards and ward the jungle? you lost because you weren't good enough to win, and you have no clue what went wrong because you are never facing someone thats truly better generally. its the flaw with this ranking system, you will get stuck if you aren't focusing heavily on learning.

Rrett2 votes

stfu with your logic. This is a shit post, dontchaknow?

Calabok6 votes

and what's wrong with that? He died a lot ... your team just failed.

Conturbatio2 votes

We aced the enemy team manytimes, but everytime we try to push, tryndamere gets a turret/inhib since he dies 20 seconds before a teamfights starts. We tried to stop him manytimes, yet he always manages to get our structures while 5 players are attacking him/applying CC at the same time. Wow I see NOTHING wrong with that!

And can you at least provide constructive criticism instead of reminding me of a previous event?

A Miss Fortune4 votes

The thing about Tryndamere is his entire kit relies around his ultimate. He's not overpowered, nor is he underpowered, he is broken. If you nerf or just remove his ultimate, he loses his entire identity and most of his power. If you buff his other abilities to compensate, he'll be pick-or-ban.

Tryndamere needs a full gameplay rework. He will either get ahead in lane, which is fairly easy for him due to his incredible dueling abilities, or he'll fall behind and just split-push to your Nexus. He's a really counter-fun champion with relatively no interesting features and just isn't healthy for either team. If he get aheads he'll be able to teamfight since his teamfighting is pretty bad already, and if he gets to this point he'll simply one shot your carry and there's not much you can do besides have your entire team to focus him. If he gets behind, he can splitpush and due to his insane dueling capability with his ultimate, he'll be able to 1v1 almost anyone who comes to stop him, if he is falling behind in the duel and will not win, he can dash, slow, and ult/heal to safety.

Tryndamere is pretty annoying and I personally ban him just due how he ruins the fun for everyone in the game, including his team, since they'll never see him if he's not ahead. He needs a full gameplay rework that keeps his identity as a Barbarian King, but also makes sure he isn't a "If I don't go 10-0 I'm splitpushing to your Nexus.".

I don't think he's overpowered due to most of his power relying on his ultimate, or a very unreliable passive, but he is definitely broken.

YossarianSensei3 votes

I don't get why you didn't just stay in lane, lol

You're playing Teemo anyway, what purpose does he serve other than camping top?

NemeBro3 votes

Lol, by the way. Reminds me of a Dyrus Solo Q game I watched where he laned against a Yasuo top as Darius, crushed him, and the fucking Yasuo just suicide splitpush all game, ignoring people attacking him as he wailed on turrets. His team won that game, and it eventually got to the point where the intentionally feeding Yasuo could 1v1 Dyrus because muh scaling. Funny stuff.

Any champion could splitpush with decent success.

You just blame THAT player, not a champion.

EDIT: Also you forgot to cover "xxx has joined the chat" :P

Conturbatio1 votes

{quoted} Also you forgot to cover "xxx has joined the chat" :P

Nah, it's not necessary since the summoner names aren't linked to champions :P

Saianna2 votes

well.. if you say so... There is some kind of logic in your words ;D

IcyPepper3 votes

Possibly relevant.

But honestly, I'm sorry but I disagree with you. For one, you're coming to the boards right after you lost to X champion and you're demanding a nerf because he used a strategy despite being behind and stuck with it.

You must be new here. :/

We've killed him manytimes, CCed him, but he still comes back for turrets and inhibitors.

Then.

Guard.

The.

Objectives.

The counter to split-pushing is having someone turtle for you, it doesn't have to be the entire team. Wards help determine which lane he's heading toward. If you don't want to duel him, someone with good waveclear will give him a hard time by pushing back the lane hard. Bonus if they have cc and can deny dives. And if you're not bothering to ward... well, even I used to think Master Yi was OP until I figured out that simple mechanic.

Conturbatio1 votes

I couldn't guard the top lane objectives because my team needed a lot of help since mid game!

StealWolverine1 votes

So you're saying your team failed 4v4 and that's really why you lost.

IcyPepper3 votes

But... you're Teemo. I mean...

Honestly, if I were you, I would have taken teleport instead of ignite. It would have really helped against split-pushing.

But if you couldn't guard because your four team members needed help against four players... doesn't that mean the enemy team just outplayed you? You needed five people to fight against four people, allowing the fifth to split-push to victory. That's how split-pushing works, that's how split-pushing wins. The four other team members draw pressure and force the entire enemy team of five to pay attention to them, allowing their split-pusher to do their thing.

Teleport would have really helped in this case.

At the very least, you could have sent Shaco to do it. Shaco isn't great at teamfighting (neither is Teemo, because global taunt but hey you had a good game tho), but he could have maybe guarded some objecties or something.

I like Tryndamere, but he isn't invincible.

If he falls behind, he can splitpush. But if HIS team doesn't know how to handle it, it can go just as bad. I played a game as Tryn and we got crushed early game. I was 2/3/1 and slightly ahead on CS coming out of laning vs an Irelia, not bad, but our bot lane fed a bunch of kills to the enemy and they really shut us down there. I was the only one to take any enemy towers, and we never got a dragon. The other 4 members didn't group up, didn't use towers for defense, got baited a lot, really didn't know what to do. And if I showed up, I got focused and killed in the teamfight because it wasn't really a teamfight. It looked like those movies where the bad guys throw 1 person at a time at the hero and he dismantles them each easily. When I tried to split, my team would also split up, and then the enemy would go as a group to each one of us and pick us off.

I had another game as Tryndamere in which I got ahead early thanks to an awesome early gank by Zac which gave my 4 kills and a tower. Screw splitpushing. I was in those teamfights every chance I could get. I finished 27/5/6, and spent most of my time in mid lane with occasional romps around the map to grab objectives or solo baron. They tried to split, but we stuck together and pushed to the end. They didn't really have much CC so they never could pin me down, and my team helped out a lot, unlike the other game where they had 4 different champs with good CC. (Morgana, Warwick, Irelia, Malzahar)

So, the game I won...stuck with my team. The game I lost, tried to splitpush. Of course it didn't help that I made a few dumb mistakes, too. So, yea, he was born to splitpush, but it only works if your team can handle it and the other team can't. And he can teamfight given the right compositions. He's not broken. You just don't like him because he's hard for you. Master Yi with Sated Devourer? Maybe broken. Runeglaive Ezreal? Possibly broken. Annoying Tryndamere? Just annoying.

Plus, if he kept dying after every objective he took, and you didn't use the 30 seconds to 1 minute plus to punish his team, then you were sorta doing something wrong there.

Rrett1 votes

it's a normal game...

Conturbatio3 votes

So it only matters if it's a ranked game?

ZephyrDrake1 votes

Yes trynd went 1/19... while your bot lane had a combined 5 kills and 25 deaths. Your bot lane did nothing to help that game, and the fact that only trynd did poorly as far as the enemy is concerned it's not that hard to add things together. You can kill trynd all you want but the fact that he had such a terrible score just means he is giving NO GOLD whatsoever when he dies so he doesn't really care whether he dies or not.

Going back to your bot lane... Ashe built no damage at all in that game. She had only IE and Blade and nothing more, no LW, no BT... just IE, PD and blade... no idea why she decided to build item 3143 AND had another item 1031 in her inventory. Let's not forget that Soraka thought he was supposed to deal damage that game for whatever reason. I mean come on, if you want to build AP on a support at least build item 3023 so you are also providing utility and not item 3504 when you have an Ashe that does NO DAMAGE.

Your entire team comp was just horrible, Teemo has 0 teamfight presence, Shaco falls like a rock late game, Ashe built no damage, Soraka's entire build is just no and poor Veigar can only do so much if his very easy to avoid and telegraph stun is dodged. You didn't lose because Trynd splitpush you to death, you lost because your bot lane got shut down hard and your teamcomp is horrible the longer the game goes

Conturbatio1 votes

We won teamfights so manytimes, we aced them so manytimes (late game) but this trynd kept splitpushing and melting our structures in 5 seconds, each time we push mid. Tryndamere was the only problem we had.

the score was 60 to 53 at the end and 19 of those 60 kills where on trynd while he only took one of those 53 so ignoring trynd's score it was 41 to 52... that is not a score of someone who was doing well at all. You can ace them all you want but how many people were dead on your team? how low you were? Trynd is just getting stronger and stronger by the minute since he is just farming all day, do not come here complaining because you shut down a champion early but did nothing else and let him comeback into the game with farm and whatnot. Your bot lane sucked, you had no teamfight presence and your entire teamcomp was just going to be slowly outscaled by the enemy and you had no tank on your team unlike them that had two tanky champions. You lost because you couldn't do anything with the lead you had after shutting down Trynd for so long and got outscaled
