Can we have Team Builder back?

I enjoyed having elements of blind pick as well as being able to fully assemble a team without having to call rolls in a panic. And lets be honest. Everyone loves that 0% dodge chance.

I just want teambuilder back so I can play the champion I want without having to worry about someone banning them or someone auto locking..

Totally agree. Teambuilder is a unique queue and it is the one I want to play. I would like to see riot add a timer to the new draft normal so we can see how long it takes from queue to game. Teambuilder was faster I bet. I also like picking my team or making sure I am in a comp I enjoy. Why has the composition control been undervalued so much by riot? I am not buying anymore rp until it comes back. May find another game.

I only played one league game with the new dynamic que and its great but i just miss teambuilder so much because it was just perfect. I cant bring myself to play league again :/

I haven't played League since they took out the new champ select. I could deal with Team Builder being gone, since the new champ select kept elements from TB and I loved it, but now that that's gone I've had no interest or desire in playing anymore because there's no way I'm going back to arguing with trolls and douchebags over who got what lane and having someone dodge every 3 out of 5 lobbies

Team builder is better. The new champ select is an improvement, but sometimes you just want to play mid ... not pref mid, but will top. This is a game, and it doesn't make sense to force people to do what they don't want to in a game. Team builder doesn't force anyone.

I can play every role quite well, but even I would prefer to get a guaranteed spot as a support, even as the least desirable role in the game people will still take it even when you tell them that your absolute best and preferred role is a support.

People that think 'pick order' is always 100% right and is the best thing to go by all the time, which is so sad and closed minded when you really think about it.

"I am a great top laner, I'd really prefer to be top or jungle and I would appreciate it if I could play one of those roles." "lol ur last pick get ready to supp, you got blitz?" -My first experience in a draft pick game, as well as in ranked matches.

Team builder is great for casual people like me that enjoy playing one role and have fun doing it. I can play every role, I agree with you (in what I assume is your way of saying) that everyone should learn how to reliably play every role, but Team Builder is fun for more than just that reason.

i couldn't agree with you more. in an ideal world everyone would be able to play at least one character well in each role but we dont live in a world like that. i also main sup and thats my favorite things to play but i am decent at adc and mid, jg is eh, top.... i just cant catch a break hahaha. but i would consider myself a casual players so TB was amazing for the fact that i could play what i wanted when i wanted. TB to me is about having fun with what ever you think is fun. every other mode doesn't scratch that itch for a lot of casual players but TB did. [slayer-jinx-catface]

SMH. 1st, you denigrate the person "what are you bronze" ... then continue with they don't know anything.

Had you read the post, he likes the support role. And the bronze comment implies that only people that play ranked are worthy of any discussion. Both are ad hominem arguments ... they don't address the actual issue, but just attack the person bringing up the issue.

Perhaps you might have something worthwhile to say in regard to the OP and the reply, but so far you haven't said anything related to the actual idea of team builder and people wanting a specific champion in a specific role. If you do have any ideas that address the issue itself, post them!

Perhaps you misunderstood my comment yourself : I have seen the whole "lulz last pick ur supp" thing. Have not seen it since bronze myself season 4. Even my brief venture into bronze 3 last reset didn't see that, they appreciated the nature of the role. But I never see it in normal, never see it in silver, and people actually contesting the role are not uncommon.

And there's no need to respond to team builder when I'm addressing the notion of pick order, trolls, and supports. Idc if TB leaves for good or not, I didn't like the mode much. I hate picking into a blind ally team. But I don't hold that against anyone.

to be fair not everyone played this game every day and only play on occasion so not everyone has the time to learn a handful of characters. i know there are people who only play one character/role because thats the way they have fun, but i dont see anything wrong with that. to each there own. people find different things to be fun. i could be wrong but im guessing that you play a bit more competitively and play multiple characters/roles and thats what you enjoy. and thats great if thats what you enjoy. no one should hate you for playing that way. but there is no reason to be frustrated with the people who only played TB. by the way it sounds from your post, and you can defiantly correct me if im wrong, but its not fair to bash other people for the way that they enjoy playing LoL. Riot was the ones that took away the mode that got rid of the players you dont enjoy playing with. again its not fair to take your frustrations out on these players because they are the ones that have had their home taken away from them essentially, and now everyone who played TB is forced to play modes that they are getting bullied in basically.

I still think they should have dropped blind pick and kept team builder; this way Normal Draft still can be used for practicing for ranked or for that ranked experience without the stress/pressure.

Blind pick is a toxic mess. I feel like I'm playing referee informing people who called things first and making peace among the angsty players who want to troll because some jackass insta-locked a role that was already called.

On the flip side, Dominion and ARAM are surprisingly enjoyable modes. Not as good TB, but fun. Dominion games are great as they are over in like 10 minutes; awesome for when you waiting for your friends to get out of games so you can get a 5-man premade and get the champ and role you want.

a version of the new queue without the pick and ban phase will replace blind pick. It's very easy to assign and ask for roles in the new system with premade. you are guaranteed to get your first pick more than 50% of the time. You are not locked into one champion and can change based on your opponent or the needs fo the team. the new queue does not promote the formation of one trick ponies like teambuilder did. the search algorithm is faster than teambuilder. I've yet to have a wait time over 1 minute. now that we have fewer queues the player base is more concentrated, decreasing the amount of time needed to find teammates. Team builder only does one thing better. find a game where you can play one champion in one role. the new queue lets you find one of two roles which is a small sacrifice in return to everything else we are getting.

Yet most people that complain about the dynamic que complain about how they never get their primary role. Even I (as a support main) struggle to get SUPPORT shockingly enough. Sometimes I'm forced into playing mid. And as a player that knows how to disengage but not engage, this is a real struggle.

so both ranked and draft have the dynamic queue are back. blind is still a thing. iv played both blind and draft (i dont own the amount of character to play ranked but i also have no intention of playing super competitively). please for the love of god riot... please return team builder please please please please please. blind is basically just diving right into an ocean of toxicity. draft takes (in my opinion) way to long to start up a game. sure team builder might have taken a long time sometimes too but i was able to actually multitask while in queue in TB. i think the new system works great i am not arguing that, but its still not the same for people who only played TB.

i also believe that the new queue isnt the best for casual players because one, it takes a long to to even start a game and with time being limited i want to get into a game as quickly as possible (i could play blind but my experience in blind is almost never fun). two, since ill only play a couple games its nice having TB so i can play EXACTLY what i want to play instead of a 50/50 chance. its not that i wont play my secondary role in the new queue but its not as fun as playing what i want to play. if a casual player only has a couple games that they can play in one sitting then it was nice to have TB so that they can play what they wanted.

TB was also an amazing place for people to test out new champs. i know people say "well just play custom or co op" and to that i say, BALDERDASH! hahaha. but anyways, playing against AI to learn a new champ is not the best way to learn (although yes people learn different ways) it seems best to learn with a player environment though good plays or making mistakes and learning from them. the learning experience with AI is less about learning and just going through the motions of the character you are learning to play. On the other side of this coin are the players who only play one role or one character (or both). TB gave these players a place where they could play the one role/character they were good with and thats all they needed to have fun. i know people say, "get over and just learn a new role/character". not everyone is the same. some people have fun with only one role/character and i think that is totally fine, and players might not have the time or skill to learn multiple lane/characters and again i think that is totally fine as well. TB was never getting in the way of the players who think that everyone should learn to play multiple lanes and characters. the people who are arguing that everyone who cant play multiple lane/character didn't start till TB was taken away (to my knowledge at least).

the point of testing the new queue is not valid i think anymore. sure there are still things that could probably be fixed but for the most part if they brought the new queue to both draft and ranked it seems like it is on track meow. before season 6 i think all the summoners rift game modes had their rightful place. people who wanted to play more competitively had ranked/draft. people who like playing blind... i cant come up with any god reasons for blind BUT i think it has its own player base that has fun playing it. Lastly TB was great for all the reasons i mentioned above (i would type it all up again but... eh hahaha). every game mode had its own great reason for being part of a selection (dont know whats great about blind but hey i could be a bit biased againt it hahaha).

I said it before but i do believe that this new dynamic queue is great for the game modes that it is for, but not for replacing TB. i know riot wont read this and i wont have any impact because thats just the world we live in, but after (what 2-3 weeks) of the new queue i really wish TB would be a thing again.... i really do miss it.

Well,if it's any consolation.....They will work on a Blind pick version of the new champ select.But first they have to make sure everything is running smoothly for the Draft pick version of the new champ.We all know how rough that is going right now.

unless its very similar to TB in the sense in that you can pick your exact lane/character and build your own team then i dont think it will suffice, but i could be wrong only time will tell

I agree. I love getting blind pick games with a guarantee I'd get what ever champ I'd want. Having it banned sucks. Normal blind pick is almost a lottery. I'm such a slow typer I almost always end up as Support or a fill.
