Viktor or Veigar

one is a riot darling who is kept competitive at all times, the other was nerfed into the ground and made basically unplayable at high level because they had the nerve to use him as support and shut down korean zed/lee sins.
Veigar, he's harder to fuck up with, easier to hit skill shots, point and click execute, AOE stun and even if it doesn't stun it still forces the opponent to stay in one place which is equally as terrifying. Infact i'v started banning him because of how easy it is for him to wreck, even if he's not amazing he's certainly not bad.
Depends. If this Veigar know how to farm... agh, I love you Veigar! I really do! But I think a good ol Victor can carry harder.
the guy with the V in their name.
Viktor is in a whole different tier. He's the best mid in the game if you're good at him.
If I want to win in my usual game, Viktor.
If I had to pick whoever is more effective when mastered, Veigar.
Viktor is much more "noob-friendly", I would rather have my typical teammate in my ranked games pick him so I have a higher chance to win. Your typical player in gold/silver can't just pick Veigar up and expect results.

It's pretty much the exact opposite imo.
It's pretty much the exact opposite imo.
As Viktor, you can throw pretty much everything you have in the general direction of the enemy team and expect results, both CC and damage wise.
As Veigar, you can throw your stun at the general direction of enemies, but you have to make your own picks on who to kill.
You will be surprised on the number of people who don't know how to make good picks and kill them. No, it's not just blow up the enemy midlaner, if anything. Viktor is more forgiving when he makes the "wrong" picks.
I mean technically speaking
and
are similar in ways, but
is more team oriented with his circle stun, and
stun box has a shorter range than
but can stun after the delay of a slow. While it's possible to team stun with
it's super hard to pull off mainly due to the fact that it takes longer for it to set up, it has a short range than
so placing it would mean you're more vulnerable to cc, and it's smaller. While I know
doesn't stun enemies if they are in the middle of his stun ring he clearly traps them in place similar to a
ult, but 10x better. The enemies inside have to either wait it out, blow flash or any type of blink mobility spell to get out of the box, or use a spell shield of any sort.
plays around his stun and is a team oriented mage. Once he sets up and traps enemies, it's a win win for him because they blow their summoner spells, abilities, and item actives, and if not they die.
is more of a 1v1 type mage, and can only really team stun if he places his stun ring while on a chain cc, like if
ults, that would be an ideal time to place your stun ring.
As for who you should pick,
for team oriented picks and cc. He does an absurd amount of AP, but is far from consistent. Landing a good stun ring is all you honestly have to do. All your other abilities are used to help your team clean up, or wave clear easier. Once you use all your abilities you are useless, so unless you are really good at landing skill-shots and your abilities you can go for
gives you a lot more consistent damage and 1v1 potential. He's harder to master and his stun ring is not as good as
's. The only team contribution is your stun ring, which is useless unless followed up by ally hard cc. A good
can bash out tons of ap and still be consistent enough to win extended teamfights. You both rely on your stun ring to follow up with your abilities, but
is a lot more reliant on it than
.
TL;DR
for 1v1 and snowball, and consistent reliable damage.
for team cc and absurd amount of AP damage, but inconsistent af.
as a
main i have to agree lol
It's pretty much the exact opposite imo.
how is it the exact opposite? i'm wondering
is harder,
is pretty simple to play
is harder,
is pretty simple to play
This doesn't tell me anything. How about elaborating?
Veigar has better CC, Point and click spell removing enemy without zhonya from the game, infinity potential, sick damage and he is easier to play with aspecially on lane as you only have to wait for late game and farm cause you will outscale everyone anyway. Viktor has better waveclear, more sustaine in his kit, a Little bit more mobility, better aoe damage, better poke and imo he is stronger during teamfights unless veigar is fed as fuck.
If I were you I would chose Viktor, he is at least imo funnier to play and overall very good in current meta.
The better player. Viktor is clearly better. Veigar has almost no advantageous lanes and his stun was turned into worthless garbage cause meddler got caught while he was rolling his face on ahri one day and screamed at the top of his lungs "NO COUNTERPLAY"
Viktor is better because he's overpowered right now, but it doesn't mean Veigar is bad by any means.
Idk, i don't play mid
Being a Viktor main myself I would have to say I prefer seeing a Viktor on my team, as long as they know what they're doing. If it's a noon I would prefer they play Veigar since he has a lower skillcap.
I played Viktor for a month or so and he's now my highest win champ in ranked.
I then tried Veigar and it just felt very clunky and unreliable. His abilities don't do more damage than Vik until much later and they seem really wonky and hard to hit.
I've also played against Veigar a lot in lane and I find all of his skills fairly easy to dodge.
Its good to occasionally noob trap a whole team with Veigar's E but against pros... its not worth much.
Also, when you're in a 1 vs 1 you want Viktor's reliability (his E is easier to hit while moving around and his Q is a definite hit). Veigar's Dark Matter is hard to land in a duel and you'll probably die.
