The connection between the community and riot

The community currently sees Riot as a company who will do anything that they wish for, and when they don't do that, and actually make a better/worse decision, the whole board starts flipping tables. The problem with this is that Riot probably knows a bit more about balance than we do, and we should just put our trust in them, and give feedback to them instead of QQ/rage threads. But there is a kind of a big issue with Riot too. You guys are not communicating with us about things behind some changes, and if we dont know what's going on, it may lead to misunderstandings and such. You rarely respond to legitimate threads about balance, and you made some questionable decision lately. Also, your statements in patch notes and patch rundowns seem to be incorrect sometimes, for example Zed being a healthy assassin. Zed has a really high skillcap, and it's an extremely fun champion to play, but if he's healthy, i think the rest of the league should catch up. I don't like seeing good champs getting nerfed, please just buff the weak ones and then you gave everything to us twice.

Let's see Veigar. The problem i see with the champ that his E was everything that still kept him in the meta. Without the delay he was harder to gank, to catch, and he had some kind of kiting tool. Allow me to compare him to Vel'koz, a champion with the same mobility as Veigar (zero). Vel'koz has a bigger range, really strong aoe damage tools, a passive that deals true damage, and strong kiting. And Vel'koz is a champion that i rarely see, but that may be the fault of the ignorance of the players, because he is actually a good champion both in terms of balance and fun factor.

Yes, Veigar has a much bigger burst potential, i can give it that. The difference between them is mostly in the damage numbers and ratios, but still, Veigar seems to the avearage player as a strictly worse choice.

I think Riot was going for a change that separates the good Veigars from the great Veigars, (judging by the Q changes) and this may work, but time will surely tell.

For the QQ threads about Veigar, it's obvious that his E needed a delay. If you have a champion that deals avearage damage, his/her kit will be designed to be able to hit most of the skills because without it, it would be a really bad champ. If you have a champion with insane ratios and an ability power stacking spell without a stack cap, of course it will be harder to land those spells. If this E change would not exist, there would be QQ threads about how Veigar is the most op champion in the league and so on and so forth.

Funny thing - Veigar hasn't been changed for years, and nobody whined about his E. Veigar sees LCS play, and then boom, he gets nerfed. Hmm...

Another funny thing - Vel'Koz and Veigar have absolutely nothing alike other than being AP. They don't even build similarly; the optimal Vel'Koz build is AP bruiser/penetration.

no, riot dont know more about balance than us, see lee sin and zed. And you sure dont know nothing about veigar, he need the stun, his damage is good only if he gets feed, and if you feed veigar youd eserve to be one shoted

We should avoid 'QQ/rage threads' because those do not lead to productive discourse. For that, we need fact-based constructive feedback and logically arranged arguments.
