Mastery Score

I was curious if there is anything being planned in terms of rewards when it comes to the overall Mastery Score. No this isn't a "I need things free rito" post.

There are about 130 champions in the game and you get 1 mastery level point for playing a character once on Summoners Rift. So a player can get at least a 130 Mastery Score just by playing every character once so it's not difficult to raise a Mastery Score. Not complaining.

Now I am very derp at math but here we go. You can currently get 5 Mastery Points per champion (soon to be 7), So it would be 130 Vhampions X 5 Possible Mastery Points Per Champ = 650 total Mastery Score points available to earn. Now that's quite a bit. I myself only have a score of 120 with 9 champions at level 5 which is fair.

But other than having an impressively large Mastery Score number, will we get an icon or something if we get over a certain amount? Like let's say for over 300, and then over 600 each get an icon to go along with it or a banner. I see it as a fair amount of effort even if it is grinding getting a Mastery Score of over 300.

Curious what Riot thinks or other players.
