A lower tier players thoughts and opinions on the new Katarina.
After playing her a couple of times, most of which have been disastrous losses. I have to say as an opinion, the lack of ease when it comes to a combo turned a once low-skill barrier champion that was fun for those of us that just liked playing 'edgey' assasins into a mess to deal with.
Okay so here is what I've learned.
- Q dagger always lands behind them. (So if their moving backwards after their hit, when you shunpo on them - You'll get dagger and a shunpo.)
- You can shunpo and dagger virtually at the same time.
- Daggers will FUCK UP YOUR SHUNPO This has happend to me alot basically my dagger hits the ground, I go to shunpo to the champion - shunpo to the dagger under them. Meaning I don't get off shunpos damage + daggers spin damage.
My higher elo friend goes "She's super easy to learn though!" When we selected her for one for all. Platinum friend - Positive score. Every other katarina - Negative score.
4/5 couldn't get kills. We couldn't even maneuver to a basic degree with her combos without taking free damage.
She can't chase, and her new ult isn't near as much dmg, it doesn't have anyway to lock them in.
Also why ap? I know that's sort of been her stable for like.. eveer now. But you guys could easily change her kit to be AD since that would fit her theme a bit more?
But onto relevance - She just feels.. CLUNKY. Like if you make a play it feels amazing, but you're so stuck by RNG that you can't. Earlier I had a minion take my shunpo because the minion was under the enemy champion?? like.. hello?
