Personally I feel champ price reductions should be based on how rewarding they feel.

Singed got a price reduction. I'm fine with that. No offense to Singed players but... Singed is pretty trash.

Zyra is supposedly next and... well... yeah. While I get it, she can be scary, she still doesn't feel to live up to the burst potential she can be. So I can see her getting a price drop next.

However, there are some champs that are getting reductions that I don't really get. Draven, while I've never really played him, seems like a champ with decent potential to be scary in-game. He has mechanics that reward you playing him right.

If anything, I think champs like Lissandra, Diana, and MAYBE Quinn need discounts more since they don't really FEEL like 6300-IP champs anymore.

In fact, Lissandra in particular feels like she belongs in the 1350-3150 range, though that's just my opinion.

EDIT: THAT SAID, some champs actually feel like they need price INCREASES. Ashe Garen Sivir Poppy

What's your feelings on champ prices, fellow Leaguers?

All good except the 450s those are meant for new players to find roles and champs they like cant take that away from them man

Yeah. :P The original idea of the thread was for price reductions instead of bumping up the good 450s. I'm personally fine with them as they are. However, they feel like they just FEEL like they could bumped just... one tier up.

Ashe has some fairly decent CC, an AA steroid, and sight. Garen is.... Garen. - You get the idea. But yeah. That was just an edit. :)

See, I'd like characters to have prices based on skill (with ones that require more skill to cost less and ones that require no skill to cost more). Then new players can either save up and buy an "easy character", or go after a cheaper one with a higher skillcap. Win win.

Price reductions are based on age. What you suggest means that Riot has to arbitrarily code extra information into the game and someone has to sit and decide what champs are "rewarding" or not, which is entirely up to whoever is playing them. Every champ is rewarding in their own way, and the prime example of how problematic trying to pass judgement on "reward" is in you post, where you try to scale champs based on a trait that is purely opinion based. It doesn't make much sense, and can't ever be left to algorithms to manage, like an age can. You can easily set up an algorithm that states "When new champ comes out, champs at this year point go down in price" and leave it at that. It's simpler, it makes sense, and it prevents champions that someone thinks is "rewarding" from forever being locked at 6300.
