Is it worth picking up Poppy's shield in a team fight?

Like a 5v5? Seems like a bad idea to throw the thing, leave the enemy to walk over and grab it, and then go back to team fighting.

Think damage Poppy could work? You get one ranged auto, so you can at least use that part of your passive.

IMO, no.

E and W are too weak of gap closers to pick it up and rejoin.

Out of her whole rework. It's really the only thing that needs changed. It's too random with no control. Should work closer to Draven's axes.

Hmm...that might work. Feels a bit awkward still though.

No

Okay, so why would you build based off of it? I think stacking armor/HP is noob trap on Poppy. Maybe get a bit, but it doesn't really help to get too much.

Yes, it is entirely worth picking up. do remember that the shield stacks with your resistances, so if you're getting a 450 shield with 50% damage reduction to physical damage, the effective health of that is 900, same if you calculated that to magic damage. the shield should be picked up if you're dueling/brawling so long as it doesnt put you in a bad position to either continue fighting or keep your friendlies peeled for. Poppy is most effective when being built resitances, then health, then damage. at most you should have 1 fully offence item <namely BC> and one hybrid item <such as Iceborn or Maw Mal> and the rest of your items should be tank.

But...it takes like a second or two to walk away, grab the shield, and then walk back in. Can you justify basically stunning yourself for a 450 hp shield in 5v5? Keep in mind this a shield not a heal.

I think, because it may effectively increase your life and combat effectiveness by 5 seconds its worth, if you dont utilize that shield you're making a rather large hole in your stats as a "balanced" champion, your champion is designed with those numbers in mind to hit that peak efficiency. if you dont pick up the shield you are lowering your peak efficiency and may lose fights because of it. but as I said before hand, you need to take your positioning into account at well.

I don't know man. Picking up that shield doesn't seem worth it. It should scale with the amount of enemies in an area.
