I Refuse to Accept This...

I am going to try to mask my anger here, but it's going to be a bit difficult.

I am Plat II. I want to be Plat I.

So I play ranked.

I win a lot of games to finally get to my series. (Nearly 6 in a row while earning ~17-18 lp!)

Then I finally get to my series! Wooo!

But then I run into some of the most tilted teammates I have ever played with.

An Azir who blames his bot lane and jungle for his deaths, and then mutes anyone who tells him to ward. An ADC who instantly blames the support if something doesn't go right in lane. A team that decides to push as hard as possible with an enemy Shaco in the jungle.

Is there any empirical evidence that shows that you consistently receive more tilted teammates during promos? Because, at least to me, it sure does feel like it.

Sorry if this sounded a bit angry, I am just really frustrated. This process has repeat itself around 4 times now in my journey to Plat I.

My suggestion on a topic like climbing ranked or competitive play is that don't force a losing streak. Whether you believe in bad luck/losing streak or not, playing while frustrated is probably not how you want to climb.

If you wanna try an extra milestone, try rally your teammates or direct them out of making mistakes/tilting. It doesn't work every time but when it did we usually turned the game around and won.

Yeah, I tried that, but in this case the Azir simply muted me when I told him to ward.

I usually take breaks between games, and in this case I did.

In my first loss during the promo, I didn't play for the rest of the day, and when I played today, I returned to the team I described. I just feel like my teams during promos are tilted, but maybe it's just me.

For me, the challenge has been holding on after completing the promos. Seems like for most of the season I've been beating my promos, then get AFKs, terrible teammates, people who rage at each other, etc and fall right back down.

I think this time I'm on the safe side of it this time, with two wins post-promos under my belt. One of those wins is this game where, amazingly enough, no one on my team got mad at each other and we managed to turn it around.

You'll get there, and there's plenty of time before the end of the season.

This happened to me twice in the last 24 hours. Got into promos twice with no problems until promos. It is complete trash.

i'd suggest bringing some friends for placement matches. the matchmaking system for placements is anarchy (personal experience).
