Why League Players are toxic

When I first started playing the game I was a nice and sportsmanship-like player. But as I'm now lvl 46 I'm becoming toxic. I do know why, and I think this applies to a huge part of the player base for their toxicity.

  • Being a Wuss has too much agency This applies to mostly support and playing against Jayce . Some supports just stay back and heal Soraka and never even taking trades or poking. And it doesn't matter if they're out of mana because they're in the fog of war an jut recalls. This isn't even a support. You aren't even being punished for it unless if its a champion that can snipe Ezreal Janna Jinx Varus . You aren't even being punished for being a wuss. For Jayce mostly in low Elo, some are too scared to even switch to their melee and just always go for their ranged form. And yet it doesn't matter because they still provide agency even though they're being a wuss.

-Champions Greg Street/Ghostcrawler explained-on-successful-champs that one of the aspects of a good champion is to be fair to play against. Many are not.

https://nexus.leagueoflegends.com/en-us/2017/08/dev-diary-ghostcrawler -Heimerdinger He could've been a good champion. But his turrets makes him impossible to gank on. Or dive on. It doesn't get easy as a melee. -Zoe She is skill expressive, But her AP scaling and her W (spellthief) isn't. She isn't punished for being harrassed if she gets a item 3107 orsummoner 7 . And that's what's frusturating. -Veigar He's way too easy. You don't need to get enemies on the end of your E because its already tiny enough to dodge skillshots if your team can follow up it doen't get more fair. He can easily get insane AP from his passive and its just too cancerous to play against. -Zilean I have been noticing that the visuals on his Q is much smaller than its actual hitbox. if it is near but not actually touching an enemy it still will catch them. In Urf he can never die because he can just ult whenever you solo kill him no matter how much skill you have.

-Balance team

The balancing team is the wrost in any game, they should really take inspiration on how calculated balance is being used on games like clash royale. It has complicated mathematics involved while league isn't. This youtuber named OJ shows how impactful it is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SrKTpJKbY8w&t=66s. The balance team doesn't understand "Meta" and "OP". Irelia has been over nerfed. Irelia was just so close to being one of the most respected champion when the user is skilled with it. Like Zed or Yasuo . Riot doesn't understand the difference between skill and OP. The patch right after her rework, her E turned into a microstun. Like, what the fuck. Kindred has been SOOO over buffed. Even when she became OP they still buffed him. Camille nerfs were unfair. She was a good example of "Meta" but balanced. in the tank meta people drafted her to counter champion that counter tanks (in lane) like Gnar . Her Q's high true damage and her ultimate makes her very strong against tanks. But they still Nerf her. Riot isn't smart of buffing an OP champion's counter and instead just nerfed an OP champion to the ground. Leblanc .

-Matchmaking Matchaking is a huge problem, you can't carry your team. You don't start a game and ask "How hard can I carry?" instead you ask "How much does my team feeds?" some players I see in low Elo and should be in gold or even platinum. But nope, they're in silver/bronze. I have been matchmade with a very good Taliyah jungle who should be in a much higher Elo. When I was starting in EU, I played with a very smart and good Graves jungle. But my "bot lane" Illaoi Jax (the illaoi wanted top but this is blind, I said top first but the "Platinum" smurf still picked illaoi) wouldn't even leash for him. He would've been so much better with red but I have to leash for him at blue because his team puts him down. These days I've been demoting. I'm in silver V if I get bronze I'll never escape it. Because there's so much feeders and trash people.

-Good champions Riot should take inspiration

Don't get me wrong there is a few champions that are very well designed and balanced.

-Gragas He's incredibly fun to play, and his art fulfills his playstyle very well, and decently easy to learn. Landing your ultimate into your Q is satisfying. Bodyslam-flash combo is also satisfying. And those are what makes him take skill. He has a variety of playstyles, runes, and builds. Arcane Comet, Electrocute, and Aftershock all work well on graggas but makes him played differently. You can build him like normal tank. Or have some fun with AP graggas.

-Shaco His design fits his play style quite nicely. His play style has a huge variety, AP or AD. He is satisfying to play one you master the art of trickery with your clone. And once you master the art of baiting. He is incredibly fun to play and skill expressive.

-Camille She is incrediby skill expressive, well designed, and fun to play (once mastered). She has a variety of rune options each with unique play styles. She is a good split pusher and team fighter. Her design and lore is incredibly well matched with her play style and has a lot of good matchups but bad matchups at the same time.

You really got off topic. "Wuss" champs are not why players get toxic. The inability of players to react and predict other player's actions or to live time teach your team..... is why people get toxic.

Anywho.... Heimerdinger is actually in his weakest incarnation, because his turrets are now manageable. They used to repair themselves, and Heimerdinger used to have massive HP regen. He really didn't gain damage from those stats being nerfed either.

Zoe actually has some of the lowest AP ratios in the game right now. BUT.... her long range scales and so does E. She's generally a mosquito if you begin to realize..... she doesn't cover large areas, or have turret pushing and wave clearing power. Just play around her and she'll lose every game. Or, if you want to kill her, just do it from a nonlaning perspective and learn her kit, so that you dodge E, and punish her R's and where she lands.

Her W is actually highly skill expressive, because in real games, you have to learn the mechanics of the pickups, and switching out which summoners you are holding, and how to reach the bubbles in a contested fight.

Paddle star has a 150% ap scaling.

Illabethe1 votes

Actually its AP scaling is 60%.

You really need to read and learn your skills.

What IS 150% is the max potential INCREASE in the damage.

In other words, at rank 5 with 500 AP, Paddle star has a range of 500 - 1,500 damage, depending on how far the star travels from its initial shot.

If you're fighting her close up, there is no way she will do over 700 damage with that shot. If you're running away from her, and take the hit, you might take that 1,500 damage.

I know maxed its 150%, but most champions have 50-60% AP. Some champions like Teemo has his Q up to 80 percent. Veigar's R has the same scaling, and that's an ultimate. Zoe's Q has roughly 5 second cooldown at max level and CDR. Pulling Off max range is easy as R has a 10 second cooldown or lower. Saying that zoe has one of the "Lowest AP scaling" is an understatement. There are many moments in competitive play where zoe one shots somebody. Because zoe uses paddle star at max ranged most of the time, it doesn't matter about her minimal scaling. Some champions have incredibly low AP scaling. Cassiopeia 's miasma has a AP scaling of 15%. it's not like twin fangs where you spam it. It has a roughly 10 second cooldown. Ryze E has only a 30% AP scaling. For zoe, even if you're close. What most zoe players would do is use E as it has a low range excluding walls. Then walk back a little and use her Ult backwards and fires a nuke at you.

You didn't read a word I said. The AP ratio is NOT 150%.

The DAMAGE that goes through can be enhanced by up to 150%, depending on the distance of the shot.

The AP ratio is 60%.

The up to 150% increase affects both the AP ratio AND the base damage.

And no. Pulling of her max range is damn near impossible. I really want you to try it sometime. You need you have literally E'd someone through a wall, and use the wall's distance to do max damage (far surpassing the range allowed by Q back > R forward > Q, or R backward, Q Backward, let R end, Q foward).

It's also an extremely short window to pull this off since R only lasts 1 second, and the animation alone on Q takes a good second + to reach its end point.

Most people at best get 130% increased damage, and on AVERAGE only hit for about 90% increased damage. You'll see 1 in 100 Zoe hits actually 1 shot someone, and it's almost ALWAYS an adc. Which does what? Oh right. Builds NO HP, and NO Magic Resist and takes NO Mag damage negating runes.

It's also almost ALWAYS after Zoe has 5 + items, and usually also hits with a Lich Bane auto attack on the inside R.

You're cherry picking with Spammopeia and Spam Ryze (who also gets MANA scaling and E is NOT his damage skills)

I have literally solo'd a Zoe as Nami. The lowest HP champ in the game.

I've only lost ONE game to a Zoe since she came out as well. I guess I'm just lucky.... being that I do rarely play her as well......

Have you ever played against a support that sits back and never trade?

Every champ in the game has the capacity to sit back and not trade. It is the PLAYER, not the champion, that decides whether or not It's a trade or passive game.

I FREQUENTLY item 3301 top with Ornn , because I fully expect to get cornered when playing his most optimal way. But..... I win the game AND gold by doing so. I usually also win the lane, when the bored "no trade" hating opponent dives my turret and I nail him to a wall. and potentially whatever jungler is helping him.

Knowing when and when not to attack is what wins games. It's what creates high KDAs on non KDA averaging champs. (I normally get 15/5/15's on Ornn in my games..... most Ornns get 5/5/15 scores)

League players are toxic because the definition of toxicity is too broad, IMO

Madsin251 votes

People are toxic(true toxicity, not trolling) because they want others to do better.

Sorry you got flamed for being out of position and dying. It happens.

Trying to end toxicity is a waste of time. We were born in it.

Also the camille nerfs literally did nothing she is still ranked the #1 champ on lolalytics.
