I feel like the Rework for Kayle/Morg is way too one-sided.

Granted- Morgana's kit is classic and not a bad kit. Also compared to Kayle, Morgana was far more likely to see play.

However that being said I dislike that she only got a VGU and a MS buff to her Ult. I was hoping for new passives, maybe new W or E properties, but mainly I was hoping her and Kayle would get a stronger link between each other.

Kayle is super complicated in comparison, and being that this is a dual rework, thematically and mechanically not mirroring each other just seems like a let down in hype/presentation.

Even the "story change" doesn't feel true to the characters. Morgana being "fallen" would imply inherently she did something in the past to gain that notoriety, even if it was just rebelling against the "order of the angels". This also gives a good story based reason as to why her powers would have changed/been different from Kayle's. The original design pair for the two was ok as a starting point, but I was hoping this time they'd finally link the two better creating a fresh and unique experience for both pools of players. Think of Xayah Rakan interactions. Even letting them back together would've been cool as incentive to put them in the same game maybe even the same lane.

But now Morgana is just "choosing to bind her own wings" which translates to "limiting my own powers over feels" which even if you buy it doesn't explain the utter difference in the nature of the two kits. If Morgana never went through any change other than limiting herself, why would her abilities be so inherently different than Kayles? They have the same parents and heritage right?

I would imagine there was an echo chamber at Riots design HQ that seemed to only contain the words "Kayle, cool, and new art" - because thats how much depth of thought is shining through this recent change.

Disappointing.

Edit: I didn't so much want Morg to be a completely different champion. I wanted Kayle to be more like her/their themes to be more linked. I also wanted a better story because this one SUCKS lol

I'm fine with Morgana as she is, her kit has aged extremely well and still holds up. I would have preferred a new passive, but I'm not going to complain.

Nope.

Morgana is fine.

I'm actually amazed they didn't give her true DMG and hyper motility. Nothing like a few free dashes eh?

They tried to play up the story element a bit too much. Realistically, kayle needed a vgu and morganna needed a vu. There was no reason to push those two together.

I thought Morg Soil was getting "Grounding" properties?? but yes i have been calling for a morg rework of some sort for years now.. i would have thought since they got rid of spell vamp items that they would have gave her a new passive as well. guess not...
