Hi,

Just a random thought on how to make OTPs play more champions.

You used to have a situation where the information about the opposing team was available through third-party websites during pick/ban.

If you make this available again, this will lead to target banning of opposing team. Which will help with the OTP isssue.

So what you want, is for people to be punished for enjoying and becoming extremely proficient with 1 champ.

Yep, that's totally good game design

The enemy is better on their champion than I am on my champion.

I need to ban them, rather than improving on my champion or learning how to play against their champion.

They already gave incentive vs OTP with hextech boxes avail 1 per champ so OTPs will miss out on those rewards. RITO doesnt need to babysit people to force them to play other champs if they dont want to

I fail to see how OTPs are any problem. If they have fun playing just one champs, that's their choice.

My perspective on bans is, that bans are a valuable part of the game. Banning adds to the game when it is part of the strategy that goes into picking champions and making out your team's composition.

Whenever "pick your champion" is an actual mini-game that you want to play successfully, that by it's very nature is against OTPs because OTPs don't "play" they just spam their 1 pick.

It feels shitty to make a ban because "riot buffed maokai and he's OP right now". It makes much more sense and fun to ban because "I want to run a carry toplane and Maokai just shuts that down." Because of how many tanks are there on top lane, making the good bans work relies on having reasonable information.

otherwise banning is just a lottery.
