MMR Reset is Such a Joke and if you play ranked before June you are dumb

This is a smurf, but I am about a mid plat player. So I just started doing placements for season 9. I am 4-1 in placements, and was at "Gold IV". This is my load in screen to the game: 3 prior season plats and 1 prior season diamond. So my entire team, and probably enemy team, is all plat and diamond level players. We crush this game. I am now 5-1 in placements and I'm "Promoted to Gold 3". As you can see by the OP.GG, the game's MMR is apparently "Gold 1". HAHAHAHAHAHA. Right. Cuz you know, that's definitely what it looks like with all diamond and plat players. So now i'm 5-1 in promos. By this point, I will be matched with high plat/diamond players for my final two placements. So if I go 2-0, and go 7-1, MAYBE I get to start the season in Gold 2, MAYBE. Could still be Gold 3. But don't worry, all you have to do is win 75% of your games against plat and diamond level players to get back to Plat 4, where you finished last season. Probably where a lot of Mid Diamond - Low Masters players are currently sitting in P4. And if you don't? You'll just normalize your MMR back down to Gold. Making it harder to climb there later. Bottom line, this is an absolute joke. Why should players have to beat other plat and diamond players to get out of Gold? Its completely ridiculous, and if you play ranked before June, you are slitting your own throat. Instead, just wait until then when a big portion of the playerbase normalized, and then you will easily win 80% of your games and climb within 10 games, vs sitting here grinding against players diamond players to get promoted to Gold 2. BAHAHAHAHA. It's complete garbage. Fix this.

How is this different than any other season? You cannot be placed higher rank than you ended last season. Almost everyone gets moved down. 100% of players in Diamond+ get moved down. Placements are NOT a 10 game lottery to advance you through the ranks. Your account ended last season G1 and it's eyeing you around G3/G2. What exactly is the issue here?

Sure, I guess this acct was G1. But I'm not a G1 player. The game should figure that out. And no, its not different than any other season. I'm saying its been this way forever and it sucks. Just like last season, and the season before, and the one before that....

no ur just being stupid. U would have got gold regardless in the old system too. All the new system does is give you a chance to start off season where you left off and you failed.

Are you actually dumb? 5-1 with a 5 KDA is failing? Guess what? If you are in gold. Just hope you aren't in my game. You'll lose MMR. Its not a personal thing. Its literally for everyone. Silvers playing against golds to climb to gold. vs beating silvers to climb to gold like you would in June. Up and down the board is the same. Until you get to master and above and in that case you are getting silver players in your game in Feb and hopefully they are on the other team.

Apparently you miss the part every season where Riot tells you that EVERYONE starts a bit lower than where they finished.

If ur plat why is it hard for you to beat plat players and get plat? Ur not beating plat players to get out gold, ur beating plat players to prove ur plat and not get demoted to gold. If u get gold than ur a gold player till u get out. Simple

If you are a plat player. You will theoretically beat other plat players 50% of the time. How is that hard to understand? but instead, in order to climb, you need to win more than 50% of your games. So a plat player will win in gold at probably a 60% clip (hence climb to plat). a diamond would win at a 75% clip, a master at a 90% clip. Its really not hard to understand. So with MMR reset, you need to beat players you should be beating 50% of time, 60%+ of the time. Don't you get it?

So I need to beat Diamond players to prove that I am Gold 2 instead of Gold 3, when I am neither. You guys literally make no sense. And no, that's no different than any other season. It's just showing that if you wait until June, you could just play actual Gold 2 players and climb in 10 games vs trying to beat plat and diamond players.

I'm gold in support already. I don't really understand how this ranking system is going to work though; if I get autofilled Jungle does it consider me a bronze player (say my Jungle is bronze for instance) and place me against like opponents?

or is it just my bronze jungle against their bronze jungle, but every other position can be gold:gold or silver:silver?
