Please DO NOT Buff Pyke (from a Pyke Main - Mastery Lvl 7)

Hello:

I am writing to discuss potential buffs to Pyke on the PBE. I currently have 51 ranked games on Pyke this season (probably 70 games total), and I have found my winrate to have begun to dramatically increase. I see that there are some potential buffs on the PBE (increasing AD Ratios). I DO NOT think this is a good idea. I have a 51% win rate on this champion (and obviously over the last 25 its been about 70%, vs 30% the first 25). My KDA in 51 games is 3.49 (and getting significantly better as time has gone on). Please look up my username if you don't believe. I really think you just need to let people figure this champion out. This happens every time. He's a high skillcap champion, and so people aren't immediately winning. That's NORMAL. I'm afraid you are going to over buff him, and then he's going to get permabanned until nerfed again. I would REALLY like to continue to play my champion! I've been playing him literally in every role trying different builds. My JG build is exceptional (fleet footwork with inspiration on futures market and 5% CDR reduction. it makes his early clears much better with the sustain, attack speed, early purchasing, and 5% reduction on smite. the rest of his kit is so good for jg its easy to sell out your runes for this, on top of no keystone being amazing on him anyways. I run grasp top/mid, aftershock as ADC/SUP, and fleet footwork JG for anyone reading this who needs some tips). What I am afraid of is that you are basing your buffs based on a low win rate right now, but that is a win rate that's low due to a lot of people only having like 1-15 games on him. OF COURSE they aren't winning! I have mastery 7 already and have played him in every role, so I feel I have a good grasp of this. My last 9 rift games i have a 5.73 KDA, and am 8-1 (in 4 different roles over that span) with a Pentakill. Please trust me. Don't buff him. If anything, he might need a nerf once you see others start to figure this champion out (his early sustain coupled with his ability to never die late game due to insane mobility is brutal to deal with).

Thanks!

The changes are actually a nerf to Pyke builds that have lower AD and higher resists, and a buff to high AD builds.

So it's a tweak to push him towards more of an assassin playstyle as Riot intended.

I think the difference is:

You have to consider how players are learning to play against Pyke as well as how fast players learn to play Pyke.

Once players know playing against Pyke, Your win rate is going to revert. Atm he's jubilant with Electrocute because people aren't bothering to shut him down. because of his slipperiness while in stealth. One players learn to avoid E better, and attack you while you're charging Q, rather than taking it.... Electrocute Pyke is going to see some serious loss of KDA averages.

Tbh the better runes are the Aftershock Page. It gives him the defense he needs to get away and deal his coups without being popped.

But..... as Electrocute, you barely average the same Damage per game as an average damage dealer. If you go Aftershock, you're underdamaging. If your team averages 30k damage, on an S Pyke play you might get 20k. His early cooldowns just snuff out a lot of the damage.

So my concern is that as Electrocute becomes an unfavorable run for him, people are going to shift to Aftershock, and be under damaging.

Your KDA doesn't mean much when your primary contribution was R-ing a low HP target.

The R buff isn't a big one. It's a tiny threshold check. When he was about to be released it was 140%. 60% went too far.

Even if you are talking 500 AD on Pyke, his E only gains 90 Damage. Hardly a broken adjustment.

why do people bring up mastery level? all it takes is 2 lucky games and just allot of time to get mastery lvl 7, hell you can get mastery lvl 7 on garen by playing nothing but AP garen...

Yeah, great move adding such a "support" in a game where ridiculous damage, constant oneshots and instant snowballing have destroyed any strategy and any fun :D Let's even buff him now.

It's a nerf

most pyke in high elo only build resistances

IMO Pyke does need buffs and his stats are only this good because nobody knows how to play against him. I don't think his raw numbers need pumping, but his ult range is too short, his W needs a slow cleanse or a reduced initial detection radius, and his overall ability rotation could be slightly faster. People are preferring tank Pyke because the details of his kit make it almost impossible for him to avoid taking a lot of punishment.

Pics of M7 Or your actually an MF who keeps getting 1 shot by pyke

Pyke is in a shitty spot, because he can't do anything with damage items. No matter how fed you get, it doesn't matter. The ratios make building damage useless. He gets way more damage alone from leveling. If they don't want to up his ratios, then he needs a way to get xp faster.

Pyke does need a mild buff on his mid-late, but only by a small amount. Likely the damage ratio on his Q/E at 5th rank and maybe slight range on tap Q. If a tank meta starts up you'll be asking for them anyway.

Update. Please check win rate again. 10-1 in my last 11. Still unreal KDA. Please do NOT buff!
