How To Play Mid

ItsMaybelline··1 votes·293 views

When i play mid my usual mindset is to win my lane, push up, take a turret or more if possible, then roam to other lanes and get some kills. I don't know how to come back if i fall behind and i usually blow a lot of mana unnecessarily. Help? Any tips or fundamentals i could use?

Yeah so i mained mid before the big mage update. The trick to using your mana is to sometimes get item 1056 item 1082 since the dang ring regen doesnt stack. but is totally fine to get an early item 1004 or item 1027 so you can poke. But part of it is just harass laner enough so you can push in wave, back and regen everything + some items while you miss little to no cs. It also helps if they dont see you back so they think you roamed. Watch pros and see that they back often in some matchups like ryze and jayce which are very mana hungry. Alway sback if you have less then a 1/4 helath or only mana for one ability since you are just more likely to die(unless giant wave is coming to you and that exp is more valuable(but you could get dived so paly safe). Generally just use only 1 to 2 abliities on per wave so you dont run out of mana, cuz if they push hard just tutle right before tower and get you exp>gold so then they use all their mana trying to hurt you and you come out ahead with more mana. Always have wave pushed before you roam unless it is a easy kill or critical objective. By pushing in the lane you deny soo much exp and gold so you can be a full 2- 3 levels in a good matchup making them useless. Its also important to note that if you dont have much cc, its not always beneficial to roam and better to siege tower/ back for more items/ take raptors or wolves instead. **It is crucial to ward the opposite side of the map that the jungler started on since you know that that side is going to be the start of the gank. ** like if they start red then you ward blue side, ward around min 3 usually and stick to the warded side since most of the time they wont be there and you just run that way if they gank. I try to ward the small bushes in the river or the ramps to river since those are critical choke points and allow you to see the jung earlier and with more success. I find it fun that when you go warding(when lane is pushed), wait in a bush you red warded and they will follow so you can get an easy 1v1 kill. Even high elo does this often. I know its a lot and you might know all of this but seeing this in one place might help. best of luck
