Please combine normal MMR and ranked MMR.

as it stands, we have a system that will match plat/diamond players with bronze/unranked players.

Because of the difference in matchmaking between normals and ranked, testing something in normals before ranked often has no real meaning (Great, you can play Vayne against bronzies. Wanna try your luck against people who are actually in your tier?), low level players just get fucked whenever it happens to them (wtf I am only level 25 why are my opponents plat?), and high level players get really irritated when they have to deal with this matchmaking during preseason (not much point in ranking up in preseason if it doesn't count, so some just play normals while we wait for ranked to startup again).

why?

it makes sense for ranked mmr to influence normal mmr. ofc not the other way around. that would be stupid. but i dont think thats what op is asking for.

The reason for it is perfectly logical and is happening to me, where I'm an unranked player playing with my friends that aren't even level 30 playing against diamonds/golds/plats. The solution though, is er, think of another one.

That's because they don't have a high MMR in normals. In short, they're winning about 50% of their games, and so are right where they should be, or they're climbing because they're winning the majority of their games and they will shortly be above your MMR.

The OPs problem though is probably that they were queuing with some low levels and thus because there aren't many options, they often get tossed together with the duos. Hit level 30 and the problem will diminish.
