Katarina?

Now i get that if you don't know how to play Katarina, you'll probably scrub yourself into death. That being said: Yasuo Zed These two not long ago we're hated so much for their kits (outplay potential, mobility, burst). Katarina has more than both of their pre-reworked forms combined.

She requires no mana or resource to manage other than cd and ability placement She has an aoe slash that can be activated multiple times in annoying succession and has a pretty decent dmg range. She has a powerful poke that instantly turns into kill potential in most scenarios Her ultimate is high dmg, great in 1v1 or teamfight, and has a reset mechanic. Her ult doesn't have a knock up condition, she can cancel it and escape, and even without reset a low cd. Her snowball potential makes Yasuo Zed Fizz Kassadin Akali look tame. Overall I think she's reached an unhealthy point of strength. Its easy to say "heavy cc beats her", but her mobility makes them hard to land AND if she's not soley cc'd and focused its pretty much freebie for her to escape or re-engage and kill you instantly.

The new GA is a go to item to help with her sole weakness of little health and being cc'd. She can get gunblade 1 base ap item (wand) and then GA and she becomes a monster you have to cc and blow up twice.

If you disagree that she's overpowered, please explain why. I've seen some champs able to fight her, but then she just goes to another target and 1 or 2 shots them to get ahead or catch up. My last few games that have had her (aram or otherwise) she carried HARD and pretty easily too. I clocked a quadra from a kat at about 3 seconds in dragon pit. She ulted the last target and had the triple just off of blade bounce and aoe dash once. She moved right through cc. Shields/abilities did nothing to mitigate the burst. She went behind in lane, only had starting item, hextech and boots. She backed, got GA and went 16 2 X. We'd stun her, get her low on health but her heals from the burst would put her at full health as soon as she was done being cc'd. This is only one example of the many since her rework and it never feels like you can do anything about it. Its just worse with GA now.

TLDR I feel she should require energy or mana as a way to nerf her constant flow of power between skirmishes. At least give her a cut off valve of "i've used too many abilities too fast and am out of resets" OR a longer non-resettable ultimate time. I'm not asking her to be completely gutted or anything, because taking away too much just leaves another unpicked champ. maybe nerf her scaling? nerf her synergy with GA? Yasuo Zed got nerfed for being overly mobile bursty and hard to kill, why not her? Is there any other talks about her going on out there? Any hints from Riot they've got her in her sights or on the radar?

She has been nerfed a couple of times already, its much easier to capitalize on her mistakes. And does it need to go without saying that running summoner 3 will ruin her life? Or you know, just cc her and she becomes useless?

What nerfs were introduced and how do you capitalize on them in general?

One of the first things I said in my post was "besides heavy cc", so pls, be less condescending. Thats why i stated my views and then asked questions. From my standpoint she's too strong, but that doesn't mean I'm not open to being wrong. I know I could just not be understanding how to deal with a good Katarina player.

Help appreciated. I will take note of the exhaust if I fight her mid. I mainly play adc though

She may snowball hard early on and yes it probably will be hell for your team but after you guys catch up a bit she falls off pretty hard for the 2 main reasons of

  1. She does alot of damage but it takes too much time to pull it all off in a lategame teamfight and if she tries to ult people will take that chance to cc her since she can either keep ulting and take that cc or cancel it and run away. ANd now she has to wait for cdssince she didnt get any resets.
  2. Her damage requires her to be up close to the enemy team which is alright when shes fed and has nothing to fear but when adcs can aa once and drop ur hp by 50% later on in the game it becomes a whole lot scarier to even run up and q anyone since they can take this chance to burst you down/ chain cc you and take you out the game for 30 secs.
