PSA Silver and Bronze: The little things you're responsible for

Sorin Alucard··78 votes·5,261 views

Guys, all across the boards there are complaints about toxicity, match making, pre mades etc. I'd like to take your mind away from all of the reasons you may have wandering around your head that are typical and blameful to focus on what you can control: you.

You're playing League of Legends. Its difficulty can vary vastly. This season even more so than before. You could be with all solos, a few duos, or 4 mans, BUT THERE ARE PEOPLE CLIMBING STILL.

The game has gotten more difficult with Riot's changes, not because the game has inherently gotten more difficult, but because Riot gave you what you wanted and most of you are pissed about it. "What could that possibly be?" Glad you asked imaginary salty player. Last year having no role locking in rank was the nightmare.

It didn't matter if you were the next whatever-beastly-Riven -f yeah-top main, you might have to play that really crappy list of support champions on your roster. Now, that 5 role anxiety is down to 2. More of the F yeah-Fizz -slam yo mom- mid mains got their chance to prove their stuff consistently, and the redistribution of skill has most of you unable to accept that you were either A) Not as good at the game as you thought you were or B) You're refusing to adapt the more nit-picky skills of this game and are frustratingly punished for it.

"wut" Its ok random player, I'll clarify.

Map awareness of both enemies and allies is now more crucial than before.

Warding random places, not at all, at the wrong time, or even using the wrong ward costs you and your allies (you need sweepers, pinks, blues and yellows to be effective ideally)

Early Deaths have less reward and late game has higher death timers so those solo carries are more dependent on communication AND (you guessed it) map awareness

Greedy plays and selfish player behavior reward you less on a consistent basis

As always CS and Objectives

"STILL NOT GIVING AF OR GETTING IT". Don't lose me just yet salty player, we may yet reach enlightenment.

Basically everybody is bringing their A or S game to the table every game if they can help it, so naturally if you were climbing because you were better at 5 roles on average vs 2 specific roles it makes sense. It just means your 2 specific roles have to get that much better to climb.

"But Pre-mades Sorin, PRE MADES". Your attitude is off. If you really think you aren't climbing just because of smurfs and pre mades, think again. "But Noobs and feeders and toxic Sorin, so toxic!" Change your gameplan. You know most players are selfish and tilted You know not every player sees that sweet gank opportunity that you went in alone on You know that your enemies could possibly have better communication than you You know that your enemy laner could just be flat out better

The story is all familiar right now, but Silver and Bronze players, most of us act like we're keeping all these things in mind and still losing. Own up to it. If you're losing its mainly on you. I know there are a lot of tutorials, but here's what I've been doing most recently.

  1. Treat every game differently. You know your allies might be cool, they might be assholes. Play those first few minutes with chat up and being friendly. If you see ANYONE starts doing typical noob shit in chat (this ally, gg , why?, scrub, etc) I announce Im muting and only communicating with pings. Why? You dont need the distraction or the extra reasons to dislike your allies. If i give up FB or am doing bad in first few minutes, i mute. Why? You dont need to hear the feelings about your mistake. You made it, move on before your allies can be salty.

  2. Mute salty/ taunting opponents. Don't flame your teammates. They make mistakes too and they might be worse at the game than you and your opponents. Same idea applies. Less tilting is the goal here. You can also taunt opponents to bait for tilts. Morale needs to be up

  3. PLAY LIKE THE ENEMY IS BETTER AT COMMS AND VISION EVERY SINGLE GAME. If you assume that gank is waiting, if you assume its bad without vision, if you're constantly paying attention to where everyone is, you're less likely to die to ganks and all-ins. You're less likely to push up and bitch when your jungler who's farming to 6 can't make it to save your unsafe ass. Past Laning phase, if you treat those fleeing enemies like "oh they're leading me to a gank and death", you're less likely to follow. THIS IS HOW YOU DEAL WITH PREMADES.

A.) Pre-made laners tend to turn rapidly aggressive out of nowhere signaling their jg/ ally is comin for your booty B.) Pre-made laners tend to turn rapidly passive when aggressive first, signaling their ally is coming lol C.) Half way in your lane is now your danger zone without a ward in river. IF YOU PUSH WITHOUT VISION ACCEPT THE RISK WITHOUT SALT

Getting better at the game doesn't mean you can kill more people; it means that you've gotten better at making moves based off what you can see on the map. Every game is different. Sometimes you take advantage of being right there next to tower to take it, others you push wave up so you can go save allies.

For new players, DONT JUST PICK A CHAMPION YOU LIKE AND LEARN ON THAT ONE. Worse advice ever from higher level players to new in my opinion. If you're not going to follow this rule, then dont take your new Zed to rank cuz you wont 10 games total with him in normals lol You're asking for a tilting experience. Play ARAM. (Edit: i'm not saying don't learn hard champs, I'm saying your first rank champ probably shouldn't be a mechanically difficult one)

4.) PINGS and SCREENS. Put your pings on the player you want to warn, not next to them on the mini map where they might not see it. Learn to play with your screen UNLOCKED. If you just hold camera centered on your champ the whole time(especially during team fights) you're going to miss important things all the time, and it will be your fault.

5.) AVOID TUNNELING: My last tip thats helped me climb lately is to every few seconds, check the map, check the cs, check the items. You'll start noticing patterns in allies and enemies. Also, IF YOU CHASE WITHOUT FULL VISION ACCEPT THE RISK WITHOUT SALT. 0 0 1 as a score in lane playing safe and like a bitch until your champ can rek face is still better than 2 2 0 as a score from you being aggressive.

A.) This also means second- guessing that "sweet 5 man ult dive", or the "sweet 3 of them are really low vs 1" or "Tower + anything" and just not doing it XD

Its nit picky, but that's the true game. I love it. It's live chess at all times. Take responsibility my fellow players, YOU CLICK YOUR BUTTONS. YOU MOVE YOUR EYES. Its not all on Riot, we let trolls get to us.

If you follow this system above, Trolls will have less power in your games. People you find distasteful will bother you less. Your report button won't fix this community, our attitudes will.

PSA for Silver and Bronze?

#This is PSA for the League community in general.

pretty much yes you see the dumb mistakes across all elo's you just see them only slightly less when you climb, but only slightly.

However

what you do encounter as you climb is people witht he knowledge and skills to punish thse little mistakes harder and more often the further you climb

They all still make the same stupid mistakes though just less because they tend to go more for low risk high reward plays in which case little mistakes can't really be punished in the first place.

It's the smarter way to play it protects you from your own dumb mistakes most of the time.

Although you need game knowledge to play this way thats why you hardly see it in bronze. And its why you see the risky plays where these mistakes can more easily be punished.

You will start too see the low risk high reward style more often from gold onwards, i play this way i encounter others doing the same, mind you im only gold cus i dont play ranked i dont really know my true rank its probably somewhere in plat.

Just look at lcs they almost exclusively play low risk high reward.

Ping MIA please.

Yes. Ping more, but play like you aren't going to get any MIA's

Darkslayer856 votes

True. I get mad when my allies don't ping MIA, but I know it's my fault for not paying attention.

If my jungler gets invaded, I'll help them, but my map awareness just isn't good enough to keep track of all 5 enemies at once.

But I'm in Plat doe. Everyone in Plat is better than everybody else, and the reason we are not Diamond is because of these boosted bonobos. There is a guideline in Plat: Always be a toxic asshole. kappa.

Everything written here is true.

I don't dislike Dynamic Q because I feel like it's holding me back. I don't think it's "holding me back"

I dislike Dynamic Q because it ruins ranked integrity and Elo Boosting is now a legal thing to do as seen on many streams that are still currently doing it

I get it, we don't like guys way better than us stomping our asses with no remorse.

But, most of those streamers and boosters don't win every single game. Also, their plays aren't impossible just because they're boosting. If you enter every match not underestimating your opponent, then you're denying even the best player just that much more lead over you. The more they elo boost, the more contact you get with better players and in theory you should grow from that.

Like I said before, the bar has been raised. I guess we're all just settling under/over it?

My main acc which got hacked on here was AegonTheDragon. It was Diamond 3 ( I am not Diamond 3 anymore but I'm sure if I tried really hard for a long time again I could get there again) . I quit this game a while ago.

But I still follow up with it. The issue that most people don't realize, as someone who's been asked to boost before is.

Boosters work in groups of 2-3 without multiple accounts being used at once. Before a booster would use a Duo partner and get 2 accounts boosted up at once, now it's 4-5 accounts boosted up at once. Their business has triple folded, I know some IRL.

The contact with betters players don't actually teach much if you don't get the building blocks leading up to it. League is similar to math in the sense than you need to understand advanced functions to understand Calculus.

People need to understand CS before they understand when to CS and when not to CS

Could you possibly link to some more info? Im trying to improve in general and understanding the math would help immensely.

What do you think can be done to lessen the blow of boosting? If the bar gets raised overall and its not tilt city wouldn't it be harder to boost?

xXMrPeanutXx3 votes

The people I know and the boosters would be permabanned if I released his statements from our convos or some of his accounts

I commend your asking for further proof.

To lessen the blow of boosting would be to either change the system so that it takes more into consideration individual skill rather than win outcome or reduce the Dynamic grouping capabilities.

Think of it this way though.

Previously boosting was done through means of you give your acc pw and such to a booster, he then has employees he works with that either

A: Use botted acc's that are of no use except for boosting, if they get caught permabanned they do not matter, an easy replacement

B: Booster uses VPN on main to play with employee. Previously this number was maxed at two. Now maxed at full premade

C: Booster's employee uses another account for boosting in the rank field to boost two accounts at once. Now can be 5 accounts at once

It's a failproof for most of these guys, they usually employ 3-4 people. Just search on google for accounts and you could easily find the boosting services I am talking about. Now they employ many more people and get many more accounts done at once

Since Dynamic Q - Boosting services ( just google it ) have actually become cheaper, more widespread on certain websites and now highly toted by boosters (100%legal impossible to ban ! )

Dekar for example streams himself daily doing this. His subs pay him to boost them to a Elo they do not deserve.

The issue is:

The bar does not get raised, the boosted players get the rank they do not deserve and free fall back down to their original rank. The issue because with more people doing that, it skews the entire ranked system. More people lose game from the luck of having a boosted player on their team simply on his way to free falling. A lot of high ranked players are complaining about this.

It's simply created a safe market for cheating

I bookmarked this page for when I dare try ranked again. +1 for the helpful advice.

My only problem with the list is needing an unlocked screen. For some reason, The idea of not having the camera locked makes me feel like I'm going to mess up a lot more becuase I have to move my mouse to scroll the screen and cast my abilities.

I have tried using the mini map to compensate but that has had limited success.

Is the unlocked screen an absolute necessity? In every other RPGish game with iso perspective I have played, the screen was always locked, so that was why I started League like this.

Yeah, it really is. I started locked screen, didn't know you could turn it off even, and played that way for the first 6 months. A vast amount of game understanding comes with unlocked camera, as well as greatly enhancing your ability to play range and ADC champs.

Jhin is a good example here. He has the longest regular skillshot ability in the game (its longer than your screen). A good Jhin will post in fog and shoot that skill shot so you never even see his animation start, just the line. Nidalee's spear over walls is done this way too

i put spacebar as my temp lock camera and i play with my thumb holding it down when i want camera centered then i just let go when i want it unlocked

TyrekGoldenspear4 votes

I didn't know about the spacebar trick, I should try that.

The long range skillshot aim is a good point. My first midlaner was Lux , and after missing a couple of point blank ults because they were a little out of my camera range and I had to get closer and put myself at risk, my friend told me about the unlockable camera. I would only unlock it briefly to scroll to the fight to aim, then fire, then lock and play as normal.

I'll try playing with an unlocked camera. That probably explains why I have so much trouble with champs with super long range skillshots that I don't have time to unlock, aim, then fire to use. Coincidentally I'm thinking about playing Jhin because I figured it would be an easy transition to the ADC role because I'm used to playing immobile champs.

Thanks for the advice.

Hey, nice choice about Jhin! He plays a lot like mid laners in that he doesn't have scaling attack speed.

If you have trouble playing in bot lane, you can always bring him mid. You wouldn't be able to stun your opponent unless you hit him first, but you would be maxing Q first anyway, and would be mostly saving his W for later in the game, when team fights occur.

Have fun learning Jhin! And have fun almost one-shotting people late game; it's the best feeling ever :D

Hint Related to the topic of unlocked camera, his W is the main skill in which you want the camera unlocked. Q is short ranged, so no worries there, and his ultimate automatically zooms out. Here's the tip; if you put Jhin's traps in the river blocking gank entrances, and keep your camera on both you and the traps, you can see when the jungler is coming and root him as he hits the traps. This takes reflexes and some practice, but you'll be MUCH safer in lane that way! [slayer-jinx-catface]

If you check in the settings (under "Game") there are options to turn the locked camera (champ centered) into a semi-locked camera. I play with the camera unlocked, but turning this option on affects the camera when you hold spacebar as well as when the camera is locked.

The semi-locked camera locks your champ within your screen, but allows you to move the camera off center giving you the ability to see up to a screen away while holding spacebar. I don't use it a lot (mainly when chasing or escaping) but it's an option that might be useful to you.

The only downside is that when you tap spacebar to recenter on your champion, it remembers the offset from the last time you shifted it while the cam was locked.

TheRealMondo2 votes

Unlock your screen but if you need to find your champ again just hold SPACEBAR and the screen will TEMPORARILY lock on your champ.

Plz can everyone read this? Like, Riot, post it on the LOL news or something, this speaks the TRUTH.

To expand on a point in your post, teamwork has been more important than EVER before. Let's say an enemy Maokai is running away, and my team has no vision of the enemy team. I'm playing Nami, and my teammate is playing Yasuo. The Maokai is running into an area where my team has no vision. Yasuo could finish him off, but it would be faster if I came with him.

Yasuo doesn't care about vision. "This Maokai is really fed; even if I go down it would be worth." Therefore he starts to chase after him.

In this situation, I usually think; "We don't know where anyone is. This play is too risky, so I'm going to ping danger and retreat to help my ADC push mid."

I fall back, and Yasuo goes on ahead. It looks fine at first, but Maokai ends up surviving long enough to rejoin his team, and Yasuo ends up getting demolished. With a power play, the enemy takes down baron. What should Yasuo think?

The Ugly: "This all happened because Nami didn't stay with me. We could've killed him and escaped unscathed. It's all her fault!" This'll just tilt Yasuo. This is NOT a good way to play.

The Bad: "I should've stayed with Nami. It's all my fault." This is better; he's not blaming anyone else. Yet blaming yourself can tilt you just as much as blaming someone else.

The Preferred: "We just weren't on the same wavelength. It's both of our faults, so let's just be MORE FOCUSED on outlasting this baron buff rather than being a friggin nuisance to everyone by tilting!" confetti thrown everywhere!!! item 3630 item 3462 item 3069 item 2031 (OK this was the best thing I could come up with for confetti)

If you can get voice chat to work with someone, great! You can convey your ideals about a situation much faster, causing greater teamwork. It's not the end of the world if you can't, however. Sometimes the best thing to do is decide; "What do we want to do as a team?" Pinpointing what everyone wants to do can lead to what you should do, and what you should change in order to be a better team player.

(and stop blaming the jungler for your own mistakes solo laners kthnxbai)

P.S. As a support main, one thing I want to achieve is to be able to play the majority of support champions. Then, during the drafting phase of a game, I want to ask my ADC, "Would you prefer a specific support?" and "Passive or aggro?" This way, the ADC can play around a support he's/she's comfortable with, and we're at least have a similar mindset during the laning phase. Oops sorry for length!! :O

Basically everybody is bringing their A or S game to the table every game if they can help it,

I think most people are bringing their B game for a lot of their games. A games are for really good and really bad match ups.

The biggest problem with going 100% all the time is 3 fold:

  1. It's a team game and you need to be able to accept that for some games, your teammates need to carry you and play accordingly.
  2. It burns you out.
  3. When you play at 100% and fail, it tends to tilt you meaning you probably shouldn't be playing again for awhile.

I've tried to apply every piece of advice I could find to climb out. Improved my csing, map awareness all that shit. It's still next to impossible to escape Bronze. It got me to Bronze 2 once and I'm just fallen back to Bronze 5. It was most likely luck I got to B2 in the 1st place. Couldn't climb back up since I got demoted. At this point I've just about given up. All I can say is that shit allies keep a lot of people from climbing. I believe that 100% now. Bronze has far far too many idiots to be able to carry them all. I'm just gonna troll my way back to B5 0 LP with Riven support or some shit and fuck this climbing shit.

The highest MMR I've ever achieved is G3, and I'm telling you Right now, When I was capped at S1, since I'm an aggressive player and got punished in high silver a lot. I could easily carry an account out of Bronze from support in a day. Bronze isn't hard. Pick a CC heavy, or Damage heavy champ, and hard carry. Bronze is the only MMR where one player is enough to carry a game. Ask for a coaching session, there is something you're doing wrong.

Great post! This honestly is what I started doing at the end of last season and it got me out of silver. I didn't really think about it much until your post but the 2 roles is probably why I ranked up quicker this season than in the past. This account I just picked fill since I was used to having to play 5 roles and got support 90% of the time. Turns out support was my best role all along so climbing was fairly easy.

On my alternate account I wanted to play lux mid a lot and I got to silver 2 from bronze 2 playing mostly lux mid game to game. Then I decided "I am going to try adc ezreal." It sucked at first but when you can play the same lane and champ over & over it makes it easy to learn quick, and pretty much got from silver 2 to gold playing adc ezreal. Now I just play jungle on both my gold accounts and been having some success. So yea new champ select is pretty sweet.

And that's how you stay bronze. A friend of mine complained that half his games are "uncarryable" and said that even I wouldn't be able to carry some of the games. I played a game on his account and even though we were 10 kills behind, I had 100 cs more than the rest of the players and I outdamaged everyone (even their 6-0 adc) while being 2-1 in score.

devdev4631 votes

Nothing wrong with getting good at a particular champion, especially in low elo. Playing one champion helps you learn and climb faster. It isn't till master and challenger that learning only 1 champion will hurt your performance.

Dr Poro2 votes

You have to know what other champions do, though. Their strengths, their weaknesses, their range, damage, cooldowns. If you don't, you won't climb. My friend only plays jungle and he always plays the same champion for many months in a row. However, he's still silver 4 while I reached diamond (we started around the same time). When he ganks, he still doesn't know what he should expect. Some champions can just turn on him and 1v2 and he incapable to predict when that would happen. You could say that he's just a bad player, and he is, but in other games (with less champions/classes) he's a lot better.

Edit: That being said, in ranked it's better to focus on a small champion pool. I try to play wukong as often as I can. Testing out champions is what you do in normals.

I have a similar situation with a friend. We both started playing around the same time but now I'm currently plat 2 (I know I can be higher, ended diamond but just haven't been feeling ranked) while my friend is bronze 3.

If you pay attention, you will learn what other champions do naturally just by seeing them. I didn't play hardly any fizz for the longest time but I still knew how to counter him because I noticed that most of his power is in his E and if that's down he's like a fish out of water.

The people that play that long and are still so bad are the people that aren't trying to get better. If I tried to play the guitar and didn't just wail on strings all day, I would eventually get better at it. With my friend it gets annoying because he's constantly blaming everyone else how he can't carry them. I find it really difficult to not get better at something over time, because I always try. It just baffles me to see my friend hide behind his safe space he's created in his head instead of facing the reality that he hasn't gotten any better in 2 years.

It's like people like my friend have some weird avoidance to trying at things. Like he has no ambition for anything, whether it's getting better at league or something irl, he only wants the easy way out of everything. That seems like a common theme among the peers I am surrounded by and every time I think about it I get annoyed.

End rant/vent.

For the most part, bronze and silver games are decided in the draft, in which both teams really dont know what they're doing, but one team will unknowingly draft better, have better teamfight, counter the enemy team, or something. Usually it's in the form of one team drafting a single tank that wins the game.

Games are incredibly volatile, and going even will result in you being incredibly behind, as players tend to go the extra mile when feeding, and instead of 1-3 fed kills by laning's end, they give between 5 and 9. By playing a conservative playstlye, you will loose.

Playing 'good league' (the way high tier players do) will not win you games in low elo, you are forced to solo carry or get carried to win games. In order to win in lower tier games, you gotta be humble and play not what you're good at, but what the team needs. Short a tank? don't play a dps, pick a tank. Short an assassin, don't play a midline bruiser you're good at, play an assassin.

Bronze and silver is like a retarded puzzle where none of the shapes fit. If you drool on your puzzle piece and manage to stick it in and make it go with the other retarded puzzle pieces, you'll win more games.

Only really in low bronze are players so mechanically inept that they belong in the low levels. Once you reach silver, it's really about macro errors and teamwork. The draft, your comp, and how well you mesh as a team matters exponentially more.

Dque boosting isn't remotely an issue outside of plat. I've found that only while duoing do i ever have a problem with dque. Especailly if i duo with a role with little synergy with my own. If I duo with a support as either top or jg, my main roles, I've got a massively increased chance to go against a bot duo, or any combo of mid/jg/top. If you don't want to get fucked by dque, dont use dque, most of the time it will never be an issue. just solo.

I mean it helps and team comps can be completely fucked but you can still win a lot of games with a poor team comp. Team work is always important no matter what rank you are. Pretty much learning how to work with your teammates and learning the game can easily snowball you through silver. I mean... its really all about game knowledge. Mechanical skills will help but only to a certain point. Honestly most silver players mechanics are shit, bronze are shit, hell im sure most gold players mechanics are shit (or maybe just mine). It sounds like people generally pretty mechanically good by plat, but team work and game knowledge separates players out at higher elos.

If i were you I would stop completely worrying about your team comp. Like... yea try and not go full ad or full ap and try to at least have a bruiser. But I learned a long time ago to not judge an outcome of a game before it starts. I have had some badass team comps in the past that you think "well no way we lose this game" and have gotten completely stomped. I have also had full assassin ad teams vs tanks who just have to build armor for an easy win and have stomped them. Especially in lower elos anything can happen so like OP is saying you just have to worry about yourself and improve and learn more about the game. Then winning becomes easier and rank increases. Also focus on learning the mid & late game as low elo players really struggle in this area. I know I do, but I am good enough at it to contentiously play at a gold level. Not that it makes me good, but I can vouch for what OP is saying.

I'm aware. At this point, I watch more league through twitch and youtube than I play it.

I'm where I'm at in the ranking system because I don't have the time to grind games and I don't have the patients to bother dedicating myself to one role with a small champ pool. For me, it's a lot less about it being hard to climb, more like I don't care if I climb. I'm making apathetic observations based on what I see. If I want to climb, I'll tryhard in the jungle, where I know if i play smart on characters I know how to play, i'll win multiple lanes. I won't make excuses about my rank. I'm not a good league player, far from it.

Games are decided by the draft, I can accurately predict which team will win based on which team has a better 5v5 comp, as games are pretty much aram with baron and dragon after 15 minutes or so. I say this mostly because I can never really dedicate to a given main, given how turbulent the meta game is compared to other games. Balance is done is massive swings, and I've had mains who i've played for months with the same powerlevel nerfed out from under me due to competition getting nerfed (ryze in 6.5). If I had a higher mechanical skill level with a dedicated pool of 2-5 champs that can multirole, I do think i would absolutely have more impact on any given game.

Silver players are retarded when it comes to knowing their own power. The ability to grip an opponent by the balls after taking a lead is what's lacking in most games, so almost all games are forced into teamfights, even if the winning team doesnt have a teamfight comp, therefore games are thown easily. Picks matter very little, as there's no pressure being applied by either team. All the games are in a completely neutral state until the aram starts. The team ahead typically either snowballs because the opponent is just bad, or they end up pitching the lead because it was a fluke in the first place. The volatility of any given game in silver makes it incredibly hard to play league 'efficiently' aka, apply pressure while ahead, because there is 0 team sync in the macro or micro play, on loosing teams, this is always individual and external. Typically, the players who can adapt in both draft and playstyle to their team will climb by enabling the selfish players to do well in some form or another.

Yes, individual skill matters, and yeah, you will climb on it, but depending on your position and mains, it's inconsistent. Some roles and positions have much higher winrates and contribute far more than others, while in higher levels of play, where the meta is tighter, it's really a completely different game.

That's a good observation. Sounds like you have a good understanding. I just have a fear that a lot of people think their a certain rank because "bad teammates" or "trolls" etc. And as someone who used those excuses for years I just like to let players know that is the wrong way to be thinking. Granted, people usually have to figure that out for themselves but if I can get through to one person then it may save them some time and frustration when trying to climb. Nothing wrong with not caring if you climb rank.

I do agree you can generally tell who is going to win a game especially in silver based on comp. I also agree silver players are poor at knowing their own power. The good news is, if you realize your power and others don't you can influence games more easily. Like when teams have split push comps and actually do it, the enemy team usually has no idea wtf to do because they so used to play aram style. The only problem is if you know you have to split push and your team keeps going in 4v5, then your team is in deep trouble. I do find that really annoying. At least its seems to get a little better around silver 1 or 2 area and into gold with teammates having more game knowledge and willing to work together more.

I need to get back on the ladder and clime. I stopped at silver 3 during S5 and I believe could have easily gotten to gold or even higher. But what this the juggernaut update and then the ADC WTF stage I just have not gotten back on the house. I'm a sup main and that's one of the hardest positions to clime with so I'm easily discouraged because I know that I need a somewhat comparing team in order to win.

Meh I reached gold playing support this season and during preseason. Its just learning the patches and adjusting to the new things. I don't really play mid much right now since mid season update as I am unfamiliar with all the mage changes. But I can still play other roles. No doubt you can probably get higher than silver but realize silver 3 is literally 50% mark haha so like although its not bad there is literally 50% population lower rank than that. Idk I stopped assuming I am a certain rank and just play the game. If I keep ranking up and beating people of a certain rank they I feel I must be playing around that level. Have to play a good amount of ranked games to really figure out where you are at but good news is every game no matter your rank you could beat any rank player. So it tall depends on how you play that game. So just go in with your head up, focus on the game at hand and try and get that victory screen. Do it enough and bam, new rank. If you winning games easy in silver and continue to have a high win rate then yea you probably high gold and maybe even plat level. If you losing as much as you winning then you probably playing around that rank currently. If you losing more than your winning then maybe you currently playing at a little lower level of play.

Sorry just talking common sense but just want to say don't fear playing ranked if you want to reach a certain rank. If you don't care about ranking up then don't worry about it but you sounded like you were worried about jugg & adc update and was just trying to say meh.... just read up adjust and move on. At the end of the day the game is the same just different metas, items, champs, etc.
