why is poppy not popular?

just a random thing ive been thinking about while NA servers are down.

her passive blocks 50 pct of the damage if hits more than 10 pct of her current hp.

thats like a free alistar ult for the entire game.

i know shes melee, but isnt this passive considered OP? why is she not popular/best tank ever?

edit: i know a few people play her in the LCS and that she still gives headaches. but i mean on lee sin lvl. why is she not a popular pick sorta like a thresh/lee sin/lucian etc.

She has a really weak laning phase and really mana hungry. You'll be oom and have to go back after one combo in laning phase. Plus she'd get camped hard in LCS essentially turning it into a 4v5 if they can win early and not allow her to get into late game.

If you make it to late game with her you win, if you don't you lose, and you will be camped.

Her passive only reduces the amount of damage ABOVE the 10% (E.g. you recive 15% damage, you now receive 12.5% damage NOT 7.5%) It's useful but by any means not Alistar ult.

But yea I like jungle Poppy. As for your question: Poppy is the most mana hungry champion in the game. That equals poor lane sustain and trading power as well as a relatively poor jungle clear compared to most other champions. (Plus she'S melee which doesn't make laning easier either)

AND her E might troll her own team.

Her early game is so weak, she can rarely make it to late game.

Ive been seeing her played more recently, and yes her passive is straight bs.

shes not played more because alot of people dont know shes strong. Shes also boring af imo.

And building her tank is a waste, damage is much better.
