Does Twitch's passive activate deathfire touch?

Since the passive does damage, and since i can't notice the damage over time mostly anyway, can someone tell me if it does proc the keystone mastery? cuz in laneing phases dealing the occasional auto attack helps in long run engages and dealing (6+50% attack)/2 (since it is a dmg over time effect) over 3 seconds seems decent but if it doesn't, it doesn't seem worth to have it in my twitch masteries
