Stick to 2-3 Champions and master them.

Stop trying to counter pick the other team with champs you barely play. Master your 2-3 favorite champs and you will climb easier.

If you look me up I am in Plat 5 with Plat 3-2 MMR playing only Kayle and Yorick and I have played them so much I am confident in every matchup. Even counters. I feel more confident playing Kayle into a counter then I would just picking Pantheon because they picked GP.

I see too many people playing a different champ every game and it makes no sense to me. Do this and you will get better and you will climb

Two other random tips 1.Don't flame or BM your team 2. 90 percent of games are winnable. I can't count how many games I got rocked top as Kayle and kept a positive mindset, farmed, got 4 items, and started railing their team. Don't quit

Do these things and you will 100 percent climb

Don't you have to play the one champion long enough to learn how to deal with most if not all matches, and then learning how to finesse their kit? Any random arrogant player could assume that it'd be a small feat taking maybe a week.. But you're talking about a lot of match ups, a fair share of possible counters, reactive builds, kit combos and skill shot timing, etc... Azir doesn't seem like an EZ-pick-up-and-pwn kind of champion, or even particularly strong right now. I think he's cool and all and actually want to try him myself, don't get me wrong, just saying. Unless you've already invested a LOT of time into him, in which case you need more practice.

This is true. That is exactly how you climb without actually becoming a better player. That's why the majority stick to mains instead of actually learning the metagame.

This is why a high rank means next to nothing. Not many players are on the level of the professionals, who can change champions to fit whatever the patch notes throw at them with no trouble at all.

That isn't to say their rank is undeserved, but the ranking system should account for these people.

Not really. They're more deserving of an entirely separate ranking system where you're limited to 2 champions.

The characters in this game are not hard to learn, especially not compared to combat-focused games.

I think that they are not articulating their point very well to you. It would seem to me that people who make it to a particular rank on a champion they have mastered are unable to play at that level if they get auto-filled into a different role.

In that sense I kind of agree with Declovone here, in that people could achieve a rank at a level which they might not be able to play on any other roles. For example my top lane skills might be plat level, while my Bot-Carry skills are Bronze level. If I get autofilled to the Bot position in a plat game my team is going to be in for one hell of a loss.

This is true for literally almost every player. If Aphromoo gets autofileld to Mid and he is against Yassuo he is getting stomped. Doesn't mean he isnt a Challenger player

Don't ignore the meta though. If Riot nerfs one of your 3 champions into the ground, you should probably find another champion to replace it. Likewise, abusing OP champions while they are OP is beneficial if you can pick them up quickly. Besides, it's boring to stick with the same 3 champions for years. Everyone has to find their own balance between mastering their current mains, chasing the meta, and just having fun with whatever.

Play safe, don't feed and ward
Don't get cocky and throw your lead
know what your champion is best at and use it to your advantage
Don't chase singed.

I just wanted to say that. Kayle has been a retard proof champ to climb for years now. You scale anyways. You easily clear waves and go back. You 1v1 anyone anyways at a certain point, rip towers apart and stand in their base before the enemy notices what happens. Basically a better tryndamere honestly.

I like play Top, Mid, Support and Jungle so... I'm lost ç_ç ...... ( My main are > Yasuo, Riven, Zyra, Elise, Orianna, Katarina, Evelynn, Garen, Irelia, Taliyah and Rakan )

Rammus RekSai Udyr Sejuani Shyvana Sion XinZhao Graves Gragas Hecarim and somehow have a high win% with Elise . It's just that with the intro of item 2420 and many, many failed dives that i felt could have been successful, the idea of diving towers in the elo im in is not appealing.

That is a pretty large pool. Try and narrow it down to your 3 best.

Once you do that the best 3 pieces of advice I can give are this.

You gank the lanes most likely to carry. If you have Sion top and Orianna mid you try and make plays happen for the Ori not the Sion. The sion will be a meatshield no matter what and fill his role even if he loses lane, ori needs gold and items to fulfill hers.
Don't be scared to ignore a lane that is losing. If my top laner feeds 2 kills to a Darius or Riven im not going up there anymore. You won't help enough and probably won't make anything happen.
Do not listen to your team trying to tilt you. You are the jungler and you know what you are doing. Play how you know how to play and don't get tilted because somebody got stomped in lane and decides to blame you.

This is a big thing that I've noticed as well. 7 times out of 10 it won't help, 2 out of 10 it's giving over a double kill, 1 out of 10 it actually makes the difference.

I agree, I've seen it happen on numerous occasions, a lane loses and the jungler tries to help them, but something goes wrong and the enemy laner who is much stronger than the two of them ends up winning the fight (Or worse yet the enemy jungler counter-ganks) and getting a double kill or a kill and a tower.

Seriously, if the guy's died twice in the last 6 minutes, unfortunately it's probably a case of him being outclassed. Ganking won't change that, if anything it will reset his gold. Best thing to do is get mid fed, or bot fed, or yourself fed, so at least you have some way of contending.

You might say 90 percent of games are winnable, but that doesn't mean they're carry-able when your top laner goes Draven and feeds 0/10 in the first 15 minutes. Because that means 90% of games are lose-able, too, and there's always one person in the silver ELO who wants their team to lose.

Dodging isn't actually an offense, only leaving games that have actually started. You can dodge all day if you're willing to sit through the queue lockout timers.

Losing 3-10 LP is superior to losing 15 or more depending on your mmr.

Also, theres no mmr penalty for dodging, and mmr is really all that matters in the long run. Might actually be interesting to see what kind of winrate/MMR/net LP gains/losses result from being super picky with teammates and dodging every game with trolls/autofilled players. Some days I might not be able to play at all and the LP penalties might mean I end up with like -50 LP at times, but the potentially spicy mmr would mean no actual demotion and probably 30+ lp gains for when things do come to pass.

Strategic dodging makes you 100% easily climb elo. I did that but i just don't have the nerves anymore to only play three games a day because i have to dodge 20. There are still some i dodge like every jhin on my team ever. Or fiddlesticks.

One wonders what the optimal elo/time strategy is though. I'm willing to bet someone of average skill for their starting mmr (as in, if they played every game and never dodged, their skill would result in a 50% winrate) could maintain a 90%+ winrate for quite awhile by looking up their teammates every game and always dodging unless they identified an obvious smurf, but they'd probably only play a single game a week if even that. (And of course at some point, being silver 3 -2100 LP is going to be problematic to fix even with a diamond 3 mmr getting 50+ LP per win.)

Just requiring no blatent trolls is a much softer requirement that results in way more games played and fewer dodges.

Maybe a middle ground of no trolls+no autofills, or no trolls+everyones winrate on their chosen champ is at least X for some X>50, or some other criteria, but it's not clear what the optimal strategy is.

In practice just playing everything works fine for climbing (provided you are below where you belong), and is probably most fun provided you're not prone to tilt, but it's interesting to think about theoretically.

In older seasons maybe. Season 8 seems like they overload the feeders onto one team. I mean when all 3 of your lanes die twice each in under 5 minutes, you can’t carry that. I mean they don’t stop feeding until they go afk. Eitherway, league has ran it’s course. It isn’t really fun anymore. They are trying to copy HoTS so bad, that they are fucking their game up. Blizzard designed that game to be that way, that is why it works. The only reason I’m still playing is i’m an achievement whore and am only 3 levels from 75 token. Once I get that, league gets uninstalled.
