Why does Master Yi exist?
Seriously, a champion that encourages afk farming and comes out and proceeds to right click you to death.
If you're stuck in lower elo play Yi. I guarantee you will climb. Easiest champion in the game

Yi has a low skill floor. Yasuo has a high skill floor.

As a player of Yi when I began, I'll vouch for the fact he is easy. However: as he is easy, he is also easily countered. Any stun will easily destroy him. Slows when he is not 6, or his ult is down, will definitely counter him. Build some armor and ninja tabis or a frozen heart, and grab a morgana or lux next game if you are so concerned. Yi is hardly even in the meta currently, so I doubt he is one of Riot's concerns. He is fine as he is.
A late game carry who becomes strong by farming.

"Easy" does not really translate to "effective" directly, Yi may be leaning on the easier side but in no way is the champ himself effective.
That's why he is not OP (if anything is, it would be Sated and not Yi), you just haven't figured him out yet.
farming all day long until you can 1v5 and people complain about yi ( i agree hes a piece of shit )
but if thats the problem how is he anny worse than 
im pretty sure i do exactly the same i ignore my lanes as much as possible and farm all day especialy if there al losing
if i see a must gank or a really easy gank i go for it but so do most yi players
and than once i got enough lvls im gonne just hard carry my team to victory
sure amumu needs the backup of his team a bit but so does yi cause if he goes in 1v5 on his own and people cc him down hes gonne die really fast
if amumu goes in 1v5 wel he can win i mean it happends ( like yi can ) but usualy hes just gonne miss out on damage and lose so whats the problem ?
amumus ult doesnt really have much counterplay either and if ahead enough he doesnt rellly need his ult all the time
lol I didn't check your ranking but I'm assuming you must be silver. Bronzes recognize they suck but silvers think that Yi is OP.
Yi is actually extremely hard to play in high elo (so not in your elo). You have to have very good mechanics and much faster reaction time than you have with Yasuo whose kit is basically autopilot, depending your team. Literally if you have any allied knockups you're just an R bot. Meanwhile, Yi has to worry about blocking with W while using it as an autoattack reset, Q dodging enemy CC and flanking.

Tired of yi and yasuo, learn the champion rammus. He shuts them both down and the adc.
