That poor level 21. And people wonder why new players quit the game.

Well first, it's not nearly as imbalanced as it looks.

You've got: Blitz, a level 20 smurf who already plays normal matches with low gold players (so is probably a gold-level player) Gold 1 this season Silver 1 this season unranked, but was diamond 4 last season Plat 5 this season

vs. D3, D5, G3, D4, S1.

So net out the two S1s and the smurf against the G3, you've got a G1 and a plat and a diamond against 3 Diamonds. That's not bad at all given that normal matchmaking doesn't used ranked mmr AND that we're in a party IP weekend so Diamonds are queuing with bronzies looking for IP and that's going to put a lot of strain on matchmaking...

That all said, I'd still propose that your normal MMR have a minimum cap applied to it as your ranked MMR minus 1 division. Even if you only play off champs or roles in normal, if you're Plat 2 you should be at least Gold 2 capable on these champions? I mean, decision making is the most important, right?

I think I have one that is almost as bad.

And yes I was trolling Singe bot lane with volibear.

The games are made up and the points don't matter.

Whining about this isn't going to fix it. I used to get angry about people wasting 20 mins of my time. Now, I just play hard enough not to get flagged for afk and move on.

Can't regulate stupid. I also don't want to see draft removed. It's an important strategic part of the game.

If Riot cares, they could do a far better job teaching people the basics of the game.

  1. There probably aren't that many level 30 queuing up for Normal, so don't expect matchmaking to dig up players in your ELO to match with you.
  2. Normal have a different set of MMR. Those Diamond players MMR, in normal, is the same MMR as yours.
  3. It's normal, you're level 30, who cares.
  4. Take this opportunity to practice against opponents much better than you. It's a blessing.
