This is still showing in server status...apparently "shortly" has a different meaning than i'm accustomed to.

Yea the patch notes clearly said NA and Jan 14. Was dissapointed that it was not there.

They are trying it out in different regions, and will eventually get to others once they have approved it works. I would suggest a maximum of 2 days wait (If things go south)

New champ select is coming to Normal and Ranked Draft queues. The new champ select experience will be enabled for Normal and Ranked Draft across the world later this patch! We're starting with tests in NA and TR on January 14. If everything goes well, we'll continue to roll out new champ select in other territories over the following days. A few key details of the system are listed below; make sure to head back to the 2016 Season Update site for an in-depth overview. When new champ select launches, devs will be on the boards to gather feedback and track known issues. Let us know what you think!

i was excited damn it! i logged in to patch my client and check out the new champ select..its like second christmas! except without any of the presents...or happiness..or CAHMP SELECT! just another handful of broken promises :(

Yea i expect hextech crafting to be ready on september or something. They couldn't even rework the tribunal in 2 years +. This hex crafting seems so hard to create

Yes, they did say the 14th, but Lyte also said that the new champ select requires assets from this patch and will technically be rolling out "after" the patch. Gonna say give it a few hours.

They said NA is going to be the test server, not the other ones. Therefore it should be out, yet it's not...this whole time riot hasn't even said anything about it either. The released the patch KNOWING that people were going to be excited and purposely let them get disappointed without any feedback from riot themselves telling us what is going on.
