It is getting nerfed already. Kind of a pointless thread
Don't bother. The boards are full of supp mains that think they're hot shit because they can start coin, rush a censer, and then press E on their adc over and over.

Out of interest, what's wrong with it? I've been building it on Nami since the start of the season and it seemed a pretty balanced item, what has changed to make it suddenly op?

Ardent is a balanced item on most champs. Lulu, Karma, and Ivern were all nerfed prior to support item changes so ardent wouldn't be totally OP on them.
Sona, Soraka, and Janna didn't get those same nerfs that meta supports at the time got and that is why they are currently OP with support itemization.
