Honestly, I feel like the new runes/masteries system, is so tunneled, and so "not diverse" that I actually miss the old rune system. You could customize your pages into whatever you wanted/liked. Full crit dmg trynd/gp? Check. Full movespeed Vlad/Singed? Check. Lifesteal Draven/Caitlyn/Adc? Check. Spell vamp vlad/singed/etc..

I really miss the fact that before, even though some rune setups were "meta" and unchangeable, you were able to customize your runepages however you wanted, for the champ you were looking to play, and is it just me, or do some other people actualy miss this "mini-customization" options that have existed in the game? :/

full scaling armor runes: key champions ramus, malphite, taric full scaling magic resist: galio

"runes" now: eh, we will give you 12 armor, you can also get more, but only if you have a cc ability, and it will only last 3 seconds. no need for thanks, we rito games are mighty generous. also there is no such thing as damage creep, we only buffed damage and nerfed defense is all.

Old rune/mastery system was not user-friendly and especially bad for new players. You legit needed a college degree to use it correctly. New mastery system is easier to use, very customizable, and impactful to the game. It's also more clean, smooth, and modern.

The older system had a lot more depth and allowed you to customize your pages for specific champions, potentially making up for their weaknesses by being creative with your setup. In contrast, the new one just offers tons of damage and CDR, and the champs that can abuse keystones the best are the ones that succeed. The keystones offer way too much power and make the game more difficult to balance than it already is.

This game's balance is never going to improve until the rune system is changed. Keystones in particular should just be removed, along with all those %based increases that reward you for takedowns, it's just unnecessary power. More than half the runes should not be giving straight dps increases, as those are always going to be superior to non-dps options. It is one of the laziest ways you can add power in your game.

Runes, Masteries, Music, Items Everything. I miss everything From the good old masteries that you had 3 options on what to pick (talking about the very first runes) to tier 3 boots (They will be coming back....right, Riot?), everything is missing, that feel that music, that map heck, even the lore, the clash of fates sub title, the institute of war, everything! Can't they just make a LoL classic gamemode?

They were so much better. The new runes are the reason everyone gets blown up instantly for two years now and it's utterly frustrating.

Reverting Runes Reforged would bring back a huge part of League's playerbase, but Riot would rather watch their game burn down than admitting big mistakes.

nah people are just lazy, you can diversify your rune pages but people just don't lol, in the old rune system it was like this too, people would one 1 or 2 rune pages and almost never switch because it was what they thought was best. you can customize for different playstyles, and even for the same ones, it doesn't matter people in this game are just lazy.

also you CAN do all the playstyles you mentioned with the current rune system lol, its just most people choose not to because they are to focused on what is the best rune set up

I didn't care much about the runes, but I did like the Mastery System. I always found myself switching between those Minor Masteries (which used to have 4 options per line of every skill tree) and testing different setups...

I wish they'd strike a medium.

The runes from 2014 were about the right power level, but were boring as fuck.

They should tone down the runes we currently have to be on par with those. I think removing Keystones is essential to that.

I miss them greatly and voted yes, but here's the thing: The new runes are SUPPOSED to allow the champions to get balanced by having a funneled, static design.

Since the result has not been used to actually balance the champions with a static power budget the new runes haven't done much for the game.

I miss the old masteries, but to be honest I wasn't a fan of the old Runes. Their prices were absolutely disgusting and it cost even more to create a new rune page, so for the whole time I only had 2 pages which were "AD" and "AP". Even if I was playing a tank, I would have to choose one of the rune pages because that was all I had.

The only thing i absolutely HATED in the old system is their costs. You had to grind a LOT for a full page of runes, and once you finally got the meta they patched something, and the meta changed.

Beyond that all i wished is a simpler interface. Instead of putting runes on a fancy page you could just select how many to add on each type. A simple number with a "-" and "+" button of each side. Also 4 other number somewhere else showing how many runes are left from each type. But this second part is just a minor thing.
