Today I quit league.

I have been taking steps to improve my game.

I watched guids, I read guids, I watched my own replays. I warded more, I learned when and when not to engage. I really wanted to climb the ranks. In the past week I've played over 20 games. I believe I won 5. Ever match started the same way. I was optimistic. I was confident in my champion and my team. Then every match went the same way. First blood would go to the enemy team at about 3 minutes in. Then they'd get a double. Then our mid would die. I'd persevere. I'd farm up as Nasus, maybe even win my lane. I'd have 400/500 stacks by 20 mins. We'd have only our inhib turrets left. We'd get no objectives. The enemy would have 3 dragons to our 0. The team would start raging. I'd play until the end and lose. My confidence would take a hit, and I'd roll on to the next game for a repeat affair.

I have been so determined to play this game because of the money I have sunk into it. Normals no longer felt worth anything as I own all the champions I want. Ranked was the way to go, or so I had thought. Now I understand, it doesn't matter if you try to improve. If you refuse to be toxic, others will do it for you. If you try to lead by example and win your lane, your team is already to far behind. 7/10 wins in my preliminaries placed me in Bronze IV, and I learned something valuable there. You cannot climb the ranked ladder without an unlimited supply of luck or a few friends to play with, (which I don't have - my friends are all console gamers.) As such for a person who only plays alone this game is a waste of time, a waste of energy, and a drain on my self-esteem.

I'm going to uninstall it and move on to better things.
