I have only one wish for the Galio Rework....

Please don't rework his W. Please.

I am so incredibly tired of the way your rework team handles champions recently, you're removing every single unique ability that you can support your teammates with, and the only fun I have as an occasional Galio player is giving my ADC 90 armor and MR for free in a teamfight.

Please don't replace the only unique feature Galio has to offer in his kit for another generic dash attack or something. You did that to Warwick, you did that to Shen, you did it to Gangplank as well. I don't know what your problem is with non-support champions possessing team oriented skills, but please just listen on this one... if you keep removing unique support abilities, your game will turn into an egoistic experience where every character prioritizes dealing damage over helping out their teammates.

Warwick used to be able to siege turrets quickly with his teammates, and you destroyed his presence as a valuable teammember and turned him into one of 30 other generic assassins. Please don't turn Galio into the next victim, that's all I'm asking for as an ACTUAL Galio player that wants to play the character again and still enjoy him in the future.

Stats are boring. Reworked W confirmed.

Galio's W is easily the most cancerous part of his Kit. 200% guarantee it will either be removed or put onto his ultimate instead.

Cancerous? Giving himself or a teammate actual defense instead of bullshit burst damage is cancerous? Last time I checked, the most terrible thing in this game was not getting to live through 3 seconds of a teamfight.

It's flat stats that you get to slap on to someone. There's nothing really fun, interactive, or special about that.

He legit heals himself for taking damage or if he uses it on an ally , heals for them taking damage, It's cancer.

Its the reason he is broken in URF.

My point isn't that it makes him OP in URF. My point is that it perfectly exemplifies why the ability to so cancerous.

You are literally getting healed for taking damage. Shit is cancer on a basic ability.

You know those memes where people will say "X ability does so little damage it is literally healing the enemy" ? With Galio's W, it isn't a meme, its the truth, and it is cancer.

Lmfao. The fact that you think anything about Galio is "cancerous" is actually hilarious.

There is a reason he is in the state that he is. If his numbers were tuned to where he was viable, he'd be broken.

You actually think Galio is weak? Okay. Keep thinking that. You better pray you never get matched up against a Galio who knows what he's doing.

What's the difference between being weak and not viable?

What's the difference between being weak and not viable?

A champion that is weak is a champion that simply needs numerical buffs or added aspects to their kit because they are don't do what they do well enough.

A champ that isn't viable is a champ with power distributed in places that either don't resonate enough for them to compete or can't keep up with the modern meta due to having aspects of their kit being severely outdated.

Galio is the latter. Galio is arguably broken in some aspects, but his overall design is outdated to where he isn't viable.

Why would this make him broken in a gamemode where all healing is reduced by 50%? What kind of drugs are you on? Also, you have to build a lot of AP and/or level the ability first to get the ridiculous heals. You probably don't actually know anything about Galio.

Okay, hold the phone just a second. "Please don't replace the only unique feature Galio has to offer in his kit for another generic dash attack or something.", Riot doesn't just slap dash attacks on Champions. Shen literally had that dash attack - Shadow Dash - before his Rework, and really they didn't change much if anything about it.

Warwick has a unique aggressive thematic that feels much better when he does have his dash attack - Jaws of the Beast. Plus, Jaws of the Beast is way better overall than his old Q (which I can't remember the name for), where he just does an AoE-like animation to hit a single target and steal health. His new Jaws of the Beast is different in functionality (dash attack instead of instant damage, with the possibility of slipping behind your target), but it is essentially the same thing: A single-target spell that heals Warwick for a chunk of his health.

And did they add some "generic dash attack" to Yorick when he was updated? No, they didn't. He may still essentially have a gap-closer, but he has no dash attack. What about Poppy? Nope - Heroic Charge was in her kit before her update, too. And Sion? It's debatable, but I don't think his Unstoppable Onslaught counts as a generic dash ability, since it's more a massive charge /and/ it's his Ultimate.

They didn't destroy his presence as a valuable team member, either, and I wouldn't say he's an assassin either. Maybe a Skirmisher at the closest, since Assassin and Skirmisher are Slayer subclasses, but I think he's more of a Fighter or something in terms of primary Classes. And the Attack Speed boost wasn't even really all that awesome, either. I'd even personally say he's better without it.

I've always kept my eye on the updated Champions whenever they hit the PBE, and I absolutely love playing them on their (re)release day, and I'd personally say that Riot has been consistently doing much better things with these older Champions than you might think. That being said, with the people who worked on Yorick working on Galio, I'm absolutely psyched to see what they do with the Sentinel's Sorrow.
