If no one dcs, they can basically be a shotcaller that people can choose if they want to listen to. This role might be pretty boring so there could be a separate queue just for people who want to do this, for very little or no lp gains.

Their job just to be on the lookout for which lanes are missing, where ganks might be happening, etc, low stress and not that impactful job.

I think this could help solve the leaver problem and create a more casual position to be in for players who are frustrated or tilting.

It'd be better if that 6th player can replace the person who disconnected. For example, if someone disconnected at 20 minutes of the game, the team can pause and look for 1 person to replace. How cool would that be?

The player could always be muted (add in ping mute as well and its basically a regular game) thats why the 6th player is optional

It's good in theory but you'd have to make sure that player could fill the correct role/ play the champion. They would also have to be ok with the build the player had when they disconnected.You couldn't let them come into the game with a different champion or they could counter pick mid game and then they would need a build. I like the idea, I just think it needs a little tweaking.

Dota deals with this issue by allowing the control of another player during their absence. You cannot buy for this character but you can infact control them. That is better than nothing. Especially considering we could make the supports do it! :P
