Morgana; A Brief Gameplay Update

Now I have a PBE account and I really love having Nether Grasp (R) and Null Zone (W) combined together as well ability, the new Malzahar really made me feel like I was playing all the back in early season 1 and brought back my enjoyment of the champion. This is what the post is being inspired by because Morgana has a very similar case with Dark Binding and Tormented Soil, and since Tormented Soil is the least active ability in the kit combining the two and making a new W can make Morgana more interesting to play while leaving her current gameplay that Morgana like about her intact and can more easily balance her for the long term.

Now here is a question: Would you like to see a new Morgana passive? Because how I see it there is no reason to change it, but at the same time I can make it similar and more support feeling while still being useful for solo lane Morgana. Since this is an idea shooting post I will shoot the idea, and do not focus heavily on numbers they are just to keep a better idea of the ideas and should be taken with a very light grain of salt.


Soul Siphon (Passive): Range: 750 units Every 10 nearby ability casts grants Morgana Soul Siphon which causes her next ability cast to heal her for 50(+10 per level)(+45%AP) health and 33% of this value to nearby allies around her.

Dark Binding (Q): Cooldown: 11 seconds; Cost: 50/55/60/65/70 Mana; Range: 1175 units; Radius: 175 units Morgana releases a sphere of dark magic hitting the first enemy struck rooting it in place for 2/2.25/2.5/2.75/3 seconds and corrupting the area around it for 5 seconds dealing 100/150/200/250/300(+100%AP) magic damage over the duration in half-second intervals, this damage is increased by 0.5% per 1% health the target is missing.

Tormented Heart (W): Cooldown: 1 second; Cost: 40 Mana + 1 Charge; Range: 675 units Morgana zaps the hearts of nearby enemies with black magic to those afflicted with movement impairing effects to deal 40/55/70/85/100(+20%AP) plus 6/7.5/9/10.5/12%(+1% per 75AP) of the target's current health as magic damage (max 120/160/200/240/280 damage against monsters).

Morgana gains a charge every 16/15/14/13/12 seconds, up to 3 charges held at one time.

Black Shield (E): Cooldown: 20/18/16/14/12 seconds; Cost: 60 Mana; Range: 750 units Morgana surrounds either herself or a target ally champion with a black shield for 2.5 seconds granting them a shield that blocks 100/150/200/250/300(+80%AP) magic damage and causing the target to be immune to all crowd control effects while the shield holds.

Soul Shackles (R): Cooldown: 120/110/100 seconds; Cost: 100 Mana; Range: 600/1000 units After a 0.5 second delay, Morgana latches chains of energy onto nearby enemy champions, dealing an initial 150/225/300(+70%AP) magic damage, granting true sight and slowing them down by 20% for 3 seconds.

After the 3 seconds, the chained enemies are stunned for 1.5 seconds and take another 150/225/300(+70%AP) magic damage.
