Want to REALLY balance League, Riot?

Well here's a start. Reduce max CDR to 25% or remove CDR from a lot of items. Less spamming means people actually have a chance to do stuff instead of being instagibbed by a 45% CDR Syndra/Fizz.

theres already counter play to fizz and syndra, itemise properly, use your skills properly and above all position properly.

stop moaning theres nothing wrong with them, fizz isn't even considered strong right now.

If you actually took time to read properly, then you'd see I used them as examples. There are many more examples. And this isn't only applicable to offensive champs. It applies to everyone.

i did, this is the original post, atleast on my scree.

mentions nothing at all about what i said.

the below is another post by you within this thread which i have replied too. and yes that counterplay is acceptable if you can't or dont use it, thats your problem that needs fixing (if you want to climb)

  1. QSS removes ignite once again
  • no, this no longer removes ignite/zed ult etc so its not a must-buy in every single match, its situational. as it should be, arguably it should do something for ranged vs zed ult, again you can screw his ult up by a stun or root too, so there is counterplay there (as he lands)

3( Phage movement speed boost on hit (not on kill) removed as well as movement speed for tank items like DMP dropped by at least half.

  • this is mainly for assassins for mid to late game for sustain so no, you will break some champions here.
  1. Yi loses true damage, Yasuo's E is on 3 second cooldown if it doesn't kill a unit, Xin cooldown on Q is removed and crit on W removed, Tryn ult reworked to be killable but have lifesteal/attack speed/etc bonuses instead.
  • Yi needs a re-design, simple nothing mor, nothing less.
  • Yasuo....this change would literally make him sub-par on its own so no, you can do things like not stand next to a minion wave or position so he cannot chain the E too you, this is also dependant ON minions/jungle camps so fight him in an isolated area and his power drops dramatically and becomes very predictable.
  • Trynda's ult i agree its dog crap and out-dated much like Yi's Q, i can't talk about Xin, no experience.
  1. Do not allow people on the balance team to have a vested interest in the champions they are working on - if they hate or love specific champions, they will nerf and buff them according to their personal feelings. Allow the balance team to be impartial people who review the numbers/stats and go from there.

this is just pure speculation i am sure they are equally as offended as you are by suggesting this and assuming this, what you have said is not the case at all, balance team is different from champion design team.

  1. Refunds for people who hate the reworks - if your reworks are so good, why are you so afraid of giving people a refund? Even a flat 5,000 IP refund for reworked champs
  • NO: it is stated they can change anything at anytime you buy something from riot you do NOT own it they do your basically renting there idea even your account is not actually yours at all, read the EULA this is also the same for most online tittles and any game in general these days (due to patches) your literally renting there creation that can be changed at any point they chose.
  1. Do not change League for the sake of change, or because you (the balance team) feel league should move in that direction**. This is our game, **the players should have input and we should be able to build in a myriad of ways if we feel like it. Stop forcing us into your definition of what League should be. Ask us about changes, talk to the community, don't just change something and only walk it back if enough complain. Without us, League doesn't exist - please remember that.
  • no this is there game not yours or ours its there vision.
  • they do talk to use a lot of the champion changes and general game-state changes are taken and adapted form the boards and from reddit.
  • they do not change for the sake of change they are evolving and moving forward.

I'm sorry you just sound butt-hurt or something i dont know what crawled up your butt and i respect your opinions but the post is just one huge un-objectified whine that provides 0 use what so ever, try to be constructive and argue your points not state them and MAYBE you will get some attention from the reds.

The post your replied to in the second part of your "reply" was not by me. Again, check your screen. And as to your first part, I could have easily replaced Fizz and Syndra with Ahri and Lux. Wouldn't have changed what I meant. My point is CDR made the game TOO fast paced.

jpguy9022 votes

CDR hasn't made the game fast paced. I believe there was more offered in earlier seasons. Damage creep has made the game seem faster. Nowadays you get deleted so quickly, you don't get much room to make a mistake.

AninLegions7771 votes

CDR was a catalyst for Damage creep. Imagine if Essence Reaver didn't exist. Or iceborn and FH gave 10% CDR each. Or Triforce didn't give CDR. Or zhonyas, abyssal and Lich Bane didn't give CDR. Champs won't spam as much as possible and that in turn gives space for reaction instead of instant deletion.

and you think league is going to be balanced with this

AninLegions7772 votes

"Well here's a start". And you can't even argue against that. In season 4 when we had nowhere near the number of items with CDR, the games then were better balanced and enjoyable.

Ahristocats1 votes

i didn't say it's a bad choise, just saying that we need more

but yeah cdr is cancer, it makes casters not falling off in late game which is a terrible idea, not everyone should be great in late game

AninLegions7771 votes

Yeah it's just the beginning. CDR broke many champs and made balancing hell.

FEDXSai2 votes

you cant "balance" something by removing all of the tools outside of your own champion mechanics. the game becomes a skillmatchup and all about accuracy not about how-you-should-use-what-tools-in-what-scenario. what youre talking about is giving the champions more control over the game than the individuals. you're just not thinking of how boring league would look :p

AninLegions7771 votes

I've been playing since s3. CDR wasn't readily available to everyone like it is now. And s3-s5 were the best years of the game. These last two years have just been failed projects.

CannabisOverlord1 votes

A spectres cowl goes a long way, on just about anyone

AninLegions7771 votes

Again, these champs were examples of champions who benefit a whole lot from CDR on many of their core items.

Wanna balance League? Downvote all you want, but you know its true.

  1. Heal/ignite - 300 second cooldown
  2. QSS removes ignite once again
  3. Phage movement speed boost on hit (not on kill) removed as well as movement speed for tank items like DMP dropped by at least half.
  4. Yi loses true damage, Yasuo's E is on 3 second cooldown if it doesn't kill a unit, Xin cooldown on Q is removed and crit on W removed, Tryn ult reworked to be killable but have lifesteal/attack speed/etc bonuses instead.
  5. Allow the balance team to be impartial people who review the numbers/stats and go from there.

  1. 300 is too much for both of them. Reduce the heal and true dmg from ignite to make them better.
  2. No. It shouldn't. The item is already OP as is.
  3. Well I agree but its upgrades should still give on-hit MS.
  4. Agreed. Same with irelia. Replace with bonus physical dmg. More like 0.5 seconds for Yasuo's E. If you play Yasuo, then you know at rank 1, his E is clunky AF. Xin relies on his CD on Q. Crit from W should be removed, yes but heal stays. Tryn's ult isn't actually that bad. Just don't make it 5 seconds. 2 seconds is enough.
  5. Agreed
  6. Don't see the need for this.
  7. Agreed. Riot should wait for us to get bored before making major changes.
The JigSAW1 votes

1 - I agree, if not 300 then I'd go with a reduction of damage or heal on ignite and heal. 2 - I disagree entirely since nothing removes ignite outside of cleanse and that comes at the expense of a spell that could be used to help out. Frankly the idea of "counterplay" Riot is so keen on is totally blunted by a summoner spell that cannot be removed. 3. No on-hit movement speed. Tanks shouldn't be weaving around at near 500 movement speed from DMP and phage on-hit passives.
4. Irelia's fine as it is. Her true damage actually has a cost and a cooldown. I don't play Yasuo much because I can't honestly stand how broken the guy is, its just too easy. Yi has a no-cost E with true damage and bonus AD % increase - big difference between him and Irelia's sweet booty. Xin doesn't need to be able to reset his ult within 3-4 uses of his Q, sorry but that's just too much cooldown. I could get behind a 2 second Tryn ult that makes him unkillable.. 5. Glad we agree! 6. Because it'll allow us to find out who really does like and dislike their reworks. The way it is set up now, if they rework a champion from the announcement a rework is coming you cannot refund the champion. My gut tells me they blocked refunds because they know the reworks suck more than not to the original champion (i.e Shen, Aatrox, LeBlanc, Ryze vs Ryze early 2016, etc) 7. I'll agree mostly but stick with if it ain't broke, don't fix it. More importantly, get input - and USE it, as Aatrox input was disgustingly ignored entirely in this mini-rework of his that sucks.

FEDXSai1 votes

-and ignite is like a fade away, how is someone going to cleanse a flame? an ignite is for a 100% kill so that these greedy little fuckers dont rage their jungler when they fail to calculate a 1v1 properly

ItsOrval1 votes

Rito nerfs CDR = Everyone builds Attack Speed and Crit items.

AninLegions7771 votes

Last I remembered, Mages and Tanks can't build crit or AS.

ItsOrval2 votes

Well tanks will remain the same, but I wouldnt be surprised if Mages built crit. Literally every mage in league as some type of cc, Annie Ahri Brand Cassiopeia Syndra Leblanc Orianna Ryze Veigar Xerath Viktor TwistedFate Karthus, so i wouldnt be surprised if they just used crit and attack speed combined with their cc.

AninLegions7771 votes

Well I look forward to it. Mostly because I haven't seen any of their Crit animations. xD
