and have the cd reset? I feel like this is an unfair mechanic ._.

edit: not to mention, if he ults you and you walk into an unwarded bush(meaning he loses vision of you) or you flash(i'm talking, like, while he's still mid air, or just leaping up) the ult will still kill you

There is a cast time for the entire ult animation. A target becoming untargetable will cause the cast to fail, so the CD will not be eaten. It's the same with every other cast. Though I will say that I think there should be a cast time (shorter than it currently is), and then he does the dash and damage.

If I were forced to guess why it is the way it is, I would guess it's because Riot didn't want situations where he finished the cast, started the dash, and then got hit with a displacement effect, cancelling the ult. With the way it is currently, once he starts the cast, he will deal damage even if his target gets 25000 units away.

His ult only counts if it hits the target. If you activate it and doesn't hit the target then it resets as the entire animation of the ult has to go through (including hitting champion) before the costs and cooldown happens.

It doesn't cast until it hits you. Zhonya's cancels it like the way you cancel an autoattack or were holding down the skillshot arrow for an ability but then decide to cancel and not fire it.

It's a targeted ability. It doesn't matter if you Flash or walk into a bush nor should it lmao. The targeting already started.

thats how is is support to work. why is it ok for garen ult to go thru flashes? why is it ok for vi is to follow flashes? because they are fucking targets.
