Janna's too gutted after last nerf

I used to love to play Janna, she is one of the few supports that makes you feel like a support since it isn't your damage or tankyness that helps get kills, but after this last nerf to her Q she has become more of a liability anytime I chose her. With the shortened range I have to either rely on luck or get close enough for a pitiful amount of cc/dmg which usually ends with me losing 1/2 hp even with shield. I am left just shielding while the e bot laners are able to bully, while they cannot engage they have little to fear from me.

Compared to the old Janna I loved and could carry a bad adc, playing her now is just depressing with how little she can do.

...I'm sorry what? No, Janna is still really good and still really strong. God forbid actually having to properly place an AoE knock up to get the full effect. If you think that Q nerf was enough to make her not viable, it just aren't very good at this game.

made a mistake thinking anything constructive could come from these forums

I feel as though Janna is kinda underwhelming now, I have to agree that since her range was taken from her, it seems as though she was knocked down the list of "Great Supports." By no means is she bad, but she just isn't great anymore. A great support can be overly useful throughout the entire game without actually requiring a good marksmen to support. Braum can protect team mates, engage, and even 1v1 when he is ahead. Thresh has his potential for picking out of position opponents while also having great lockdown with his flay and Ult, and he can save doomed allies with his lantern. Leona, amazing lockdown, AoE stunning Ult, while also dealing moderate damage at low CDs. Then you see Janna, knockup on Q (requires wind-up with moderate cooldowns) W is a very underwhelming slow with moderate cooldown, her E is what makes her so good though, albeit it requires you to have a good lane partner, as it increases your shielded targets AD and can also shield turrets, her ult is a knockback and weak heal for use when losing team fights or to save your lane partner. She is just no where near as useful as she could be. If her range is to stay where it is now, her W needs to be a stun, and her ult needs to heal for just a little more than it does now. Otherwise, there will always be way more efficient options for a support.

Gonna be honest with all the teams playing juggernauts that wants to just run up to people either via Righteous Glory, Deadmans Plate or Sivir ults it makes me scratch my head why we are not seeing the queen of disengage and kiting seeing more play. Janna makes the lives of Garen/Darius/Skarner/etc a living hell. They want to walk up to you and all you need to do is buy captains boots and stand behind your team and they will be having a very difficult time getting to you and that isn't even taking into effect her Q and R further making their life hell. Buy a Talisman on her and just by having Janna on your team your teams ability to kite these types of juggernauts becomes pretty crazy.

Janna isn't weak right now she just needs to be rediscovered, and it's gonna take someone on the pro scene going "hey maybe every support doesn't need be to be a giant wall of beef with the occasional Morgana/annie thrown in." Played right, and against the right enemy team comps, Janna is a terrifying support to face off against.

Her Q still goes well past her auto-attack range, and its still useful for counter-engage/fleeing and, I would argue, still useful in lane, though its clear that to be super effective you need to actually charge it. It was a painful nerf (though Im surprised no mention of the R nerf?) but its a workable one I think
