Yasuo's kit is NOT weak.

To start things off, I'm sick of all the whining about Yasuo on the boards. Every day people make the same whines and complaints about Yasuo and it's honestly really tiring because no one ever actually tries to DISCUSS him, because they're so busy just whining about how op he is. OMG, windwall eats my ENTIRE KIT! OMG, DOUBLE CRIT CHANCE TU STRONK! OMG, TEH INFINITE MOBILITIES!!!

But it's almost more frustrating to see the responses of his defenders, which are usually just as low-effort as all the complaints. Windwall has a 27 second cooldown! But his crit's have reduced damage! But his mobility is restricted!

Take a second and think about why he has all these restrictions on his kit. He has these restrictions because of how insanely strong his kit is on it's own. The double crit chance gives him an insane amount of free gold in the form of free stats. The windwall is capable of completely negating extremely important parts of other champion's kits, sometimes trading a 27 second cooldown for a 90 second cooldown. His mobility can be used multiple times in a row and works as an excellent gapcloser, that can be used to guarnutee he lands his ult, which by the way is pretty insanely strong in and of itself.

I really want everyone to stop complaining and start utilizing actual arguments for how you feel about Yasuo as a champion, rather than just harping the same things back and forth constantly.

Edit: Rather then repeating the same things over and over on both sides, discuss the issue at hand and examine the problem from both perspectives. (Yasuo, and the person laning against him.)

Those are perfectly valid points. And so is your point about the restrictions being there for a reason.

It's not like some sort of dichotomy where you can only claim his kit is strong or weak. People point these things out just to say that he has limitations to balance out his strengths.

I personally think his kit is okay unless it's against like 40% of people. If you have a person with delayed moves or skillshots it feels like absolute shit to lane against him. Nothing you do will work because he can either safely farm or just dodge everything with that E. Windwall isn't too bad because I play Karthus a lot but holy shit. I played a game as Karthus mid for the first time (I usually go top) and I'm not doing it again. No help from my jungler, he did phantom dancer first and even though I safely farmed under tower and didn't engage he still outdamaged me like crazy and I couldn't do shit regardless of **how I played the lane. Sometimes he just invalidates the enemy laner which is the main reason why I think he's a badly designed champion. **

The vast majority of the threads are Low EloQQ threads describing his kit, and why they perceive it to be unfair. It sort of works in the way that he has a Strong level 2, and he's able to push really well and in low elo these things make a champion really strong. If you consider the fact that he scales well, and junglers don't gank worth anything, he's quite the deadly character.

I would compare Yasuo, to Master Yi. He's a more effective Yi in terms of Skill Cap, and functions in his kit. He's generally countered by CC in a similar way, and sitting back as an assassin in a similar way. He has a situational nock-up, and a shield instead of heal with resistances.

In another instance, i would compare him to Darius. Unlike Yi, Darius can be a competitive grade champion when the stars align and when that happens he's unanimously banned. These champions suffer from something called "Super Clear Windows of Power" that display a huge amount of damage and cause people to cry unfair when they see it. In a lot of these cases, it's not the damage in the kit that's the issue.

Yasuo hasn't been a problem since the Mallet nerfs, and the nerfs to the pen on his ulti. His base got slightly buffed (Low elo players love that level 2 shove and fight.) These changes were to force him into a Melee Carry position instead of being a bruiser. Considering they hard nerfed bruiser yasuo since it was hard covering his weaknesses and forced him to build multiple attack speed items (For Q CD) I'd say he is where he should be as a melee carry.

49% winrate is pretty decent for a champion of his difficulty. http://na.op.gg/statistics/champion/ , http://champion.gg/champion/Yasuo/Top , http://www.leagueofgraphs.com/champions/stats/yasuo/diamond If we go by this detail, he could possibly need some scaling shifting (akin to Azir, and Kayle), to where he spikes later on.

Take it from me, he hard counters most of my champion pool. (Kayle, Teemo, LuLu, Gnar) If he needs any tuning,

Let us all remember that 80% of these Yasuo defenders were the one who QQ'ed for Nunu's passive nerfs.
