Looking To Learn Kindred

I got into League because i loved her design but she's really hard to play. The whole ADC Jungler thing is cool but her marks are really difficult. How do people play her at a higher level if the enemy can see where your going? Any tips for getting her marks?

No troll please, i'm serious.

She's god fucking awful right now, she's a legit troll pick in this current meta. If you're really trying to learn her though, it'll take time. Her jungle path is different from any other jungler in the game, besides MAYBE lee sin, since he counter jungles level 2-3 pretty often.

Don't waste your time op, she is my favorite character too. But she is absolutely abysmal right now. The game is all about tanks right now and unless you are in plat or higher you can't count on getting one in top or bot to cover for you. Your passive is a death trap setting you up to get ganked. Her E is clunky and she is just weak all around. I know it is tempting but do yourself a favor and sit on her until Riot unfucks its self and does something for her which will probably be at least a year or two down the line.

I had more luck running her as an adc when my top and mid are squishy AF then as a jungle this season. Pretty easy to collect marks in lane but your ability to get camps besides scuttle is really weak so you end up needing ganks when its up.

My only tips for her in general are to learn a few mechanics like how long it takes for mark to pop up and try to minimize the amount of time it takes so your able to grab a mark with minimum amounts of forecasting, or play the mind game a few times each round where you mark 1 lane then gank a completely different one so your opponents wont trust that you will gank when they see a mark. Use her W and Q to kite camps and avoid as much damage as you can, always be kiting camps so your hp will be higher early game and you can gank better. When your enemy is in an R with you and is at the low hp cap off, try to set up and E with 2 charges so you can instantly Q + auto to trigger damage.

Once game times start going longer she will fit better in the meta, stuffs a bit to snowball at the moment for her to really shine imo.

Edit outch, ran her as adc in lane and forgot how brutal it is when you cant hit 4 stacks early game from getting solid ganks or winning lane. Came back to give warning that its hella feast or famine which is a playstyle I don't hate but can be frustrating as all hell for you and your teammates.

K, thx. Sucks, i really wanted to play her. How would Riot make her mark's less crushing for her?

Damn, that sucks. I was really pumped to play her too, her voice lines are phenomenal. Almost as good as Tahm Kench's IMO (Almost). How do people like Faker run her in games if she sucks so bad? I've seen people run her legitimately and have success. Are they just too good?

With enough personal skill you can make anything work in yolo Q. It is a matter of how much of a hill you want to climb. If you don't care about ranking super hard or don't mind working from behind it is fine to play her. She isn't the worst but she just doesn't fit the current meta and has a lot of exploitable weaknesses. So try her in unranked for a while but I would be careful about picking her in ranked unless you get a really favorable matchup where the other side doesn't have a lot of cc or tanks.

And whatever you do don't fall for the passive trap, scout them out but watch your minimap and prepare to flee at the first sign of trouble. Because I promise you people will hunt them down to tear you a new one.

Her marks have a pattern. learn the general pattern, pay attention to where the enemy jungler paths & clears, and you'll get the hang of where you need to be. Also, if you DON'T get her marks, then she's absolute trash. That being said, you need to coordinate with your teammates to assist you with stealing the marks when your opponents are challenging it... <-- that's practically impossible in lower elos. You would solely need to rely on yourself. ..and you need to make sure you're making aggressive plays on those you mark & killing them. Riot tried balancing Kindred by making their early game very weak & access to marks very difficult due to the fact that they can be absolutely op if allowed to scale to late game. It's just almost impossible to actually scale, unless your opponents spoon feed you.

Kindred is extremely weak right now. Playing them is legit handicapping yourself & making things a lot more difficult.

As a Kindred main I tell you this: they are really cool, but quite weak right now. Their passive require them to invade, counter jungle while being extremly weak early. Riot keeps them weak early because they scale well into late game, but it's hard to scale when you get destroyed early. Their marks has some rules, learn them, learn what Wolf marks and when. For build go standard crit: Warrior, berserk, static, IE, RFC. I personally go Red, Wolfs, Blue, Mark,
