I wanted to write a rant but I thought fck it because riot games will never respond to us. I am done with this bs. My grandfather comes from a foreign country and I quit the game cause I have to. My sister falls down the stairs and hurts herself I quit the game. So you are going to give me a waiting time of 20 minutes every single time even though I played 15-20 games without quiting at all! What the hell is this!

Now my friends this is where you come in. We can change history and get rid of or CHANGE this system. I thought we could get rid of it as a whole and allow teams the chance to 're do games if someone ragequits instead of putting the whole team through hell regardless if there's that one guy who never surrenders. This will probablly never happen.

I ask upon those of you who play this game to please help our cause. I don't even play ranked and I play for fun. I ask for all of you tryhards and "nerds" who value this game too highly to refrain from starting a flame war in the comments. The only way shit will change if we have enough people complaining about it. I want this thread to be extremely popular so we can finally remove the damned leaverbuster.... I have seen enough of these threads and this is where it hopefully ends.

So with that said I would love it if everyone just please post your views. Talk about anything you want as long as our cause is heard! Riot games only listens to the pros, this time we will change that. If this doesn't work which is a high chance there are other means to persuade riot Games.

15-20 games is enough?

Dude, I'm closing in on 400 games played and there have been 2 times I dropped from a game and both were because the client crashed. Both times I did all I could to be logged back in within 5 minutes. Sadly, my team was never able to recover from one of those crashes. Sorry, but being in 20 straight games without ragequitting isn't going to impress most players. Try increasing that by a factor of 10 and people might care.

Now, your 2 events appear to include one where you had some forewarning. (grandfather coming for a visit) If that is happening, perhaps it would be wise to not log in when he's going to visit.

On the second where your sister was hurt. I do hope she is feeling better. That one I can't hold against you as real emergencies do exist.

HOWEVER, 20 minute leavebusters are for people who have dropped from 3 or more games in a short period. So this has not just been 2 times. First time the penalty is 5 minutes, the second is 10.

Sorry, but I can't support your rant. Leaverbuster might not be perfect, but I've yet to meet someone under its punishment that didn't drop from a game.

You could just not leave games. That seems to work pretty well with avoiding leaverbuster.

leaving a game in progress affects at least 4 people. Vote of a Negative/No to change. If life interferes, then that is how it goes. for the listed above reasons, i don;t see why the 20 min timer would be a problem. if your sister fell down thestairs, i imagine you'd conceivably be with her for a few minutes. and 20 minutes is the length of an average game of 3v3. so leave a game.. lose access to 1 game worth of time.

You had 2 emergencies, had to leave, so the better questions becomes: This won't happen again reasonably, so why does it matter? Take your priority queue lumps and get back in the game, it's worth it for your family, right?

If you have a family emergency so frequently that you leave games all the time, stop playing. Your family is more important. You don't get hit with penalties for occasional exits. 15-20 games of not quitting is not an accomplishment. If you think it is, then you are definitely a frequent quitter.

That won't happen, because it just causes more of the same problems, but it would take longer for any games to finish. Players could coerce a teammate to ragequit and get a redo. Someone could "take one for the team" and cause a redo. Great, now you get to start over, but that means this one game has stretched on for even longer... and if you were getting stomped the first time, you'll probably get stomped the second time.

You just fired the first shots by calling people tryhards and nerds, so don't ask people not to respond. "I want to play in your pool and pee in it, but if I see any of you dorks peeing in it too, THAT'S OUT OF LINE!"

No, Riot doesn't merely listen to the pros. You think the pros would even have jobs if not for the support of the playerbase? None of them would be worth hiring. Riot listens to the community. That doesn't mean they have to bend to demands with which they don't agree.

idk man, i currently have Leaverbuster, and i did not leave any games... im legit confused. did i just get trolled or something? and my team report me for afk, when i clearly wasn't?

i'm suffering a 20minute wait timer for something i'm not guilty of.

I'm experiencing what colored people have been experiencing for decades. (Centuries?)

If it is a family thing (chore, greeting, etc.), just go AFK. Teammates usually understand "brb" means you have no other choice but to do something (especially if you are quick about it). I believe you usually have 5 minutes to get back to the match before Leaver Buster gives you a penalty (I could be wrong, I haven't tried it yet :P). That is plenty of time to say hi to gramps. In the case of your sister, I am sure Riot would completely understand the situation if you submit a ticket to them (if you got penalized). Riot isn't heartless.

Frequently leaving is a bad thing for you and anyone you play with. While I don't agree people should get banned (for occasional disconnects, not frequent), I believe they should be put on low priority (if League even has this, I know DOTA does). I think Riot should make a something like "safe-disconnect", meaning every set amount of games (say, every 50 games?) you are allowed one disconnect (and no more than one). But that is just an idea.

They should NEVER remove the Leaver Buster. Otherwise every game would pretty much just be: "Omfg you guys suck A summoner has disconnected" or "Top or disconnect". Removing Leaver Buster would mean the game would be ruined. This game is about putting hours into. You should only play it when you are 100% sure you can finish a game before you have to do something (I generally leave 40 minutes open for Summoner's Rift, and 30 for ARAM, and after each game make sure I have everything done before starting another).

Ranked games should have a more strict Leaver Buster system than Normals/Co-op. Because Ranked means more. In ranked, people are actually trying to win (well, usually), and you disconnecting could cost them the entire game. Don't play ranked unless you are 100% you have over an hour of free time to spend on each game (not that each game lasts that long, but it does happen so safety precaution would be needed).

There is room for improvements for it, but there is no real need to change it. It's not some huge movement that needs voices to be heard, or a reason to brandish our pitch-forks. Any system has room for improvements, I believe that much. But unless it is a really negative system, there is really no need to change it.
