Burst vs DOT

Okay, I get it that having a champion burst down someone is a thing, but there should be a very definite risk for doing so ... if a champion does a full burst, and the enemy lives, then then the enemy's next DOT hit (or autoattack) should stun the first champion like crazy. In otherwords, if a Lee Sin attacks and you survive it, he is stunned for 2 seconds so his snowball melts like it is in the heat of summer. This should NOT apply to dot champions (Malzahar, Morgana, etc) that have to wear you down like crazy and have no burst kill. Syndra? her burst is epic, so should her being stunned if she misses it.

I'm talking about champions that if they hit you, the odds of survival are slim to none. Maybe it needs to be dynamic (okay, you took someone from 100 to 0 in < 1 second, you are now a burst champion regardless of what you started as). Something to counteract the snowball effect. I realize that those that play burst champions aren't going to like this ... but I think it would improve the game for everyone.

This is another nerf for mages, but just my favorite kind :(

Not just mages ... there are burst ad out there as well. (Zed fits this.)

I know riot thinks otherwise, but burst is just no fun. It doesn't require thinking ... it is just a do mentality. No strategic thought for each and every champion on the board ... just how many kills can I get. It is tiring, and boring.

ik, but most of them are mages. I find playing burst champions fun, but not fighting them. It just depends on who you play

I understand, I just want the burst champ to have as much risk as the champ he is bursting.

I suppose what I really hate is that snowballing is possible. It is a pain that a team can get ahead and be so far ahead it is near impossible to win. Or that the epic monsters have so much buff that getting them nearly insures a win. What I'd like is for all the game to be about working through getting objectives (and I mean turrets, inhibitors and the nexus, not dragon and baron) rather than about getting ahead so that you can't be challenged.

It is getting more than more like 4 corners defense in college b-ball before the shot clock timer was put in place.

I see. They should insert a delay between abilities because stunning them (the burst champ) would be unfair, as well as nothing.

if a champion has that much burst, then yes ... but that give the opponent a chance to get away. Or at least self-counter in some way.
