"It's just normal"

I don't understand how just because it's normal it gives people the right to think they can just run straight down lane feed the other team. An when asked the only excuse given is "it's normal's I'm having fun". Riot seriously needs to get their bans together and ban these people. Not everyone plays ranked.

This phrase has different connotations, yet is always condemned as if it only means the worst one (that they don't care and aren't trying to win, just fooling around).

There is another meaning that's basically "Try to have fun and don't be a stick in the mud. We're putting our all into it but we can still enjoy the match".

Someone running down mid to feed has nothing to do with the phrase. That person is just a troll and the game mode is irrelevant.

gives people the right to think they can just run straight down lane feed the other team.

You do realize that some people are just bad, and not everyone is intentionally feeding right?

And when it comes to normals, well since there's nothing wasted there, you could take your time and give some helpful tips to those players how to avoid dying so much. Instead of being a douche.

Unless both teams agree to have a fun match then yeah.

When I, personally, say "It's just normals", it's usually because I'm playing a fun off-build like support Jinx or AP Shyvana.

Am I trolling? Not in my opinion. I'm building strange, but I'm still putting my effort into winning the game. I find it fun to give myself such challenges, and am still playing seriously.

It's been happening about 1 out of every 20 games there will be 1-2 people "it's normals" and either feed with intent or just sit in base and cry. Or run in circles around the rest of us trying to actually play the game. Even if it is a normal game the point of it is to play to win and if someone is feeding 10 plus kills in under 20 min then we should just be able to kick them or forfeit the game no matter how many vote no.

Yeah that phrase is annoying if the person uses it as an excuse to do as you say. However there are people (me included) who use this to defuse people who rage incessantly because someone messes up etc. A normal game doesn't usually have permanent effects on a person so it should be taken in a more casual way (though depression is a known concern in these situations).

I really dislike when people say this. It's not fun throwing games, and I have also yet to play ranked. I don't see myself doing so anytime soon either. Please be respectful of others, and don't have fun at your team's expense. This isn't a game for selfish people.

Why not do AI matches if you're going to be lazy or sloppy? So many people like to play when they're high or drunk too, and that's always depressing. This is a team game, so your actions effect everyone you're playing with. If you're making the game harder for others because you think that's fun, then I don't think you're a fun person. I think you're inconsiderate.

I also understand working off meta, and that can be great, but so few people know what that actually means. If Leblanc is jungling then that is pushing it. Putting your team at a disadvantage isn't cool.

It's normals usually means it's ok to try out new champions or off meta picks (though I do those in bot games).

It's normals NEVER means it's ok to AFK/park in the fountain.

It's normals NEVER means it's ok to intentionally feed.

I know this sounds really bad but sometimes you just have to tough up and ignore people like that, and find your own ways to have fun in a bad game. When I have a bad game because people decided it's just normals and they can troll, I just try new things on my own and celebrate in my own success, be it that I tried a different way to juke a skill or practiced how to farm under different conditions. There's very little you can do about the toxicity of the community, so don't let it get to you. I know it's really frustrating, we've all been there. Sometimes all you need to do is change your own mindset and turn it into something enjoyable for yourself.

Normal is where people will try new champions and strategies. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. If that bothers you, you need to be playing ranked.
