#RitoFucksMyAssAgain, can't tell the difference between a power outage and ragequitting

Even after I came back and did everything I could, I get LeaverBuster'd because Riot's systems can't tell the difference between getting a power outage and voluntarily leaving the game. Now I have 5 20-minute low priority games...YET AGAIN...and the only thing Riot does is vape some kush and nerf Yasuo. Obvious rant is obvious, but come on...certainly something as complex as a MOBA system should be able to tell when my goddamn Wi-Fi shuts off when I activate a goddamn ability in a teamfight. Wtf are they doing up there?

How COULD they know the difference?

I'm sure there are plenty of people out there willing to unplug their computer or router in order to have a consequence-free rage-quit.

Came here to say this. All Riot servers see is that packets stop coming from one of the players.

Thing is .. it doesn't really matter. Whether power outage or ragequit you are leaving your teammates in a 4v5 situation which is unfair and unfun for them. Also , you won't leaverbuster for afking in one game , you get it if that happens consistently.

Trust me , I had a leaverbuster myself few days ago due to exact same reasons. I carried early game for my team - we took 2 inhibitors by 20 min and I was 10/1. Then suddenly I had power outage. When I returned 10-15 mins later I finished the game just to find out I got leaverbuster. It sucks but nothing we can do about it.

That's like saying the chat restriction system is bad because it cant detect when you sarcasticly flame your team.

You dont get low priority que for one game left, so if you constantly have power outage, maybe you should fix your problems first.

unless you're frequently disconnecting, you should just get the low queues out of the way with some AI games or aram since they're fast and you still get IP.

if you ARE frequently disconnecting though, I'd suggest you try to find the reason as to why and then try to solve the issue.

Power outage & intentional leaving has one similarities:

#You left the game & forced a 4v5.
