please note that core items have be support item. i mean it could be anything even zekes would be good with ap malp giving you some armor and protection but note your not really tanky already get alot armor and shield and bot lane is squish. and your your (q) poke does lot of damage

most champions like cat or those do true damage armor realy help but HP does

You destroy pykes lanes. you destroy leona and naut lanes. cause they dont normally build vs ap. and and cripple attack speed. you have a monster ult mix that with ult that does aoe damage dead meat

Not really hidden op as much as low elo troll pick that works vs people that don't understand when to pressure and how to exploit his gigantic weaknesses.

as someone who has played alot of malphite support its very very niche and situational

and if you dont get hard focused and poked out pre 6 then you can do ok

MF/AP Malphite

one thing you've have understand when have maphite as support. do not get caught out really nothing you can do. don't get hooked dont get stack play safe until lvl4-5 things starts to change. mapy will heal you should hela you hitting minions what not in this current meta. thats pretty much it play safe dont int. dodge skill shots. mapy fits thsi roll better then any
