Unlocked New Ranked Difficulty: Ultra Hardcore Mode

Just had a game where matchmaking put three unranked players (at least two were fresh lvl 30s) in their placement matches on a team with me and a duo partner (both Silver I). The other team was all ranked players ranging from Silver II to Gold V. Our top lane Mundo only put up 50 CS in a 35 minute game.

This is the second time this has happened to me during the end of the season, the first being in game three of a promo series that I ended up losing. Anyone else running into this? I appreciate that Riot obviously thinks we're godly enough to 2v5 hard carry the game (I did get a quadra kill, lol), but at this point in the season, I'd rather just get fair games and get into Gold.

Maybe somebody at Riot can do me a favor and disable ultra hardcore mode so I don't have to waste the entire weekend grinding out LP because of games like this? :)

If I remember correctly, if your account is completely new, you all start off at a specific default MMR. I think this was... 1200 back in S1? I'm not too sure, but its somewhere around here I believe. Also if they are in their placement matchs and are being queued up with you, it usually should mean they have the potential to be better then you as they are playing in games with you despite having less games played. If you want fair game and to just get into gold, carry yourself there. Doing it at the end of the season is a poor decision as basically everyone is doing that now as well. The people who are struggling to do it now are all struggling against each other, so you won't be able to enjoy and do it at a moderate pace because you slacked off and decided to do it at the last minute.

I get shit like this all the time, either wet behind the ears new ranked players, terrible duos, afks and my favorite the one player that begs for a certain lane, gets it, feeds like crazy, blames the team for their shitty plays and behavior then either afk, or do their own thing costing me promo matches

Riot needs to get rid of the promos unless you're making a major jump in ranked (I.E going from silver to gold)
