That Fiora must have been really bad. Not saying that Poppy isn't broken, but if he procs vitals the Poppy would die.

Yea, that item is just busted. Although Poppy is busted too. So it's like double-busted.

the passive on sunfire cape is likely the weakest passive of any item in game, and without magic pen the damage per second will never pass 15...

It would take around two whole minutes for sunfire to kill an enemy with 2k health if they sat on you

Think this is more about Poppy's insane base damages than sunfire being OP. Sunfire is just a waveclear band-aid for tanks and bruisers that have terrible clears

It's roughly 50 damage per second mid game, which is actually a lot. Think of it as 50 ad with 1.0 attack speed.

You would have to be level 25 for it to hit 50 damage? its 25(+1 damage per level) magic damage. 43 magic damage per second at level 18 more like 35 mid game

And I still dont think youre accounting for enemy magic resist. Which even at the bare minimum of 30 (42 on 90% of rune pages) is going to drop the damage of sunfire drastically. Also, the per level magic resist of the commonly melee top laner, is going to counteract most to all of sunfires measly 1 damage gain per level

Using this as a damage item against lane champions who usually build mr, is a terrible idea if you cant complement it with more damage or magic pen.
