Flex Queue Placements

I'm not mad about my results, but just a bit confused about flex placements. I played all of my flex placements with 2 other friends (I'm g5, they were g5 and g3), and they both got placed 2 divisions higher than me, which I found really odd since we won the same amount of games. At the very end of one of the games (30 seconds before it ended), I got a bugsplat and left. Can someone or a rioter explain this to me? Because I thought solo queue MMR was different from FLEX MMR.
