Look, there's a lot of tension between mage mains and assassin mains but I think we can make peace

There seems to be this misconception that mages/assassins are entitled, but their needs and desires are actually pretty simple and bakanced

All mages really want is to be able to farm safely until their midgame powerspike, getting a kill it two every time their R is up either on their lane opponent or by roaming bot, being able to play far enough back enough to be immune to ganks while waveclear and poking, having the pushing power to pin assassins under towers and take the tower if the assassin leaves, and win any 25+ minute teamfight for landing a 3-man ult. To do that they just need to outrange, out push, and outburst assassins while being safe from their all-ins and having flexible gold-efficient, slot efficient itemization that gives a lot of AP, HP, armor, MR, Mana, Mana Regen, cdr, and powerful utility effects.

All assassins really want is to be able to get to level 3 without taking much poke, then repeatedly secure kills from all-ins every time QWE is up, while having the pushing power and mobility to roam effectively and snowball every lane, the early game powerhouse and snowballing to end every game by 20 minutes, while being able to ignore the enemy support and instaburst the enemy adc through heal, bloodthirster shield and follow their escape and flash, then leave the teamfight alive in case they didn't end the game at 20 minutes. To do this, all they need are high-ad items with lethality and percentage armor pen (in case they feel like deleting the enemy rammus), as well as powerful defensive items that don't sacrifice damage or cdr, the in combat mobility to ignore skillshots, some of untargetability to ignore point and click abilities, and enough out of combat mobility to catch a Tristana that ulted them over one wall, flashed over another wall in the direction, w'ed over an addition two walls, and used heal to run even faster back to base. Oh and short cooldowns so they can keep fighting after deleting the adc and leaving the fight.

See, they're perfectly reasonable, unlike ADCs who want to be able to auto-attack periodically without dying instantly, tanks who want their items to do something, and juggernauts, who dare to think we they should occasionally be in melee range of an opposing champion and maybe even do something to that melee chanpion upon being in melee range.

Yeah I might later do a call-out thread on the unrealistic expectations of other classes, but this seemed more topical.

Besides, being literally unkillable and instantly deleting anyone in melee range regardless of build is a perfectly reasonable expectation for an entire class, all opponents have to do is run away screaming whenever they see you and let you push whatever lane you want as much as you feel like it.

ty juggernauts are the most skillful class and should be the best for that reason
