Teemo will never be meta because he offers nothing. He is simply a bully to make your enemy get pissed in lane. After 25 minutes, that kill gold or CS lead you had doesn't matter, because you can't use it at all. In his current state, he offers nothing to make him viable. He's played because he's irritating to play against.

And who might be first? Teemo doesn't have a high damage output unless fed, like any other champ... and he also has no way to apply that damage if the enemy has any CC or gapcloser because he's squishy and will get blown up. He doesn't do much outside of annoying the Top and Jungle for the first 15 minutes.

I actually agree.

A fed Teemo is shit on a stick levels of bad to deal with ... but if you don't feed him he drops off and now the enemy team is basically fighting with 4.5 members late game. That's his thing, he needs to annoy the enemy and harass them so much that they make dumb plays and he gets fed. If he can't do that then he falls off hard because everyone's even and he can't bully because others champs have hit their power spike.

ANY fed dmg champ can be complete hell to deal with. I recently won a game against a snowballed fed Olaf ... it took our whole team focusing him down when he was away from his team to end him and make plays that would lead to our win. Hell, I once played a fed Garen and that was amazing (killing 4 people in their base and surviving with a tiny bit of hp? lovely). But Teemo's design seems to revolve around getting fed through annoyance or falling off hard and that's kinda really bad design to me.

Best way to fight one is to play it safe and keep cool until you hit your power spike cause he's as soft as a pillow so if you know your champ you will know when you can jump him. That or pick a ranged poke mage and wave clear fast as you harass. But just because their team wasted a Top Champ spot doesn't mean you should, pick that tank/ fighter if you gotta and be chill until you can kill him.

Actually, Teemo has a lot of great potential this season, and I'm really surprised that no one has really tapped it. I was in Solvanas' stream just yesterday, and I saw a guy hard-carry with Jungle Teemo twice, to the point where Solvanas and her bf banned him because they were afraid of playing against the guy. And Jungle is traditionally Teemo's weakest role!

The great thing about Teemo is that he almost forces you to give up regular vision against the risk of running into a shroom. An AP Teemo who's creative with his shroom placement, working with a split-pushing, back-dooring comp, can carry the game on that alone.

actually i mained teemo jg for a little while because of this guy named "hikashikun". could that have been who he was against? Hikashikun and manco are the top teemo junglers.

Teemo will probably never be "meta", but he'll never not be relevant. Admittedly, he'd be more relevant if they left his mushrooms alone instead of nerfing them for a tacky gimmick, but he is great because you can build anything on him to fit a situation. Too tanky to burst? Say hello to Devourer/Bork Teemo. Too much mobility? Frozen Mallet time.
