My biggest problem with Zed

After a recent set of changes, I really had to write something about this.

So, every time a champion has a ridiculously high pick/ban rate (in Zed's case it's over 90%, come on...), something not nice happens to it. Remember Kassadin? He got nerfed like 5 times in a row, and AFTER all that he got his ult range halved in a next patch. Remember LB and Talon? "No counterplay." -> they got their silence removed. Remember Diana? She was banned all the time, then she got nerfed and her winrate dropped TWELVE goddamn percent. Not even gonna start about Olafing. And hey, Azir had some balance problems before this patch? Well, he won't have any now.

What I'm trying to say is, every time a champion really got into a state of permaban/pick, it got harshly nerfed pretty much immediately.

Now with Zed, whenever he gets a tiny bit nerfed, he gets compensated for it. And also, is there an item that offers counterplay to him? NERF IT! item 3157 Or change it so it doesn't even offer it anymore! item 3140 item 3139 (that's for the counterplay part of previous paragraph). Zed is getting smallest nerf taps, and even for those he always gets compensated. His banrate hasn't even changed for pretty long time.

So, I feel like Riot balance team is a bunch of Zed mains. I know there probably is some "better" reasoning for that (Zed is so popular we don't really want to change him so our playerbase won't shake --- nah, not true, dynamic queue is even more popular, people are quitting due to it and it's still here, but you get my point), yet I feel pretty upset for the amount of love Zed gets meanwhile other champions get treated like laboratory rats.

So, that's my problem.

I totally agree with you.

RIOT, you should stop being so god damn BIASED!

don't really think it's a bais but a different approach from there past. the developers seem to be going slow with balancing changes in attempt to not overdue it (previous nerfs as you had mentioned yourself). Honestly though zed may need a rework if they can't balance him in terms of numbers. In this case shelfing him until they can do that rework would be the best decision.

The reason behind qss is that they don't want to balance a champ around people having to buy an item.

And since that was a big change it makes sense that they would want to see exactly what happens before doing anything.

Finally it comes down to 2 things.

1] Riot is trying to not Olaf champs anymore. Perhaps they are being overly careful but that is arguably better than crushing a champ into oblivion.

2] Assassins are a pain to balance around. They need to be able to kill but if they can 100-0 early that is bad. So they need a way to harass people down early so they can get kills and 100-0 later on. However their harass can't be too good/too frequent in comparison to poke champs. Assassins also need a way to get in or get out. Either way this gives them lane safety so it is hard to gank/shut them down. So it is understandable that Riot is trying to be careful with assassins.

who do you play that forces you to rely on zhonyas, QSS, or Mercurial to deal with zed?
