Diamond last season, Gold this season; Help?

Disclaimer; This isn't QQ (ok maybe a little), it's me asking for advice. Constructive criticism appreciated.

Last season wasn't the first time I was diamond. My peak was d1 in season 3 (thanks Leona) so I've done it a few times with support, but I'm srsly struggling this season. I usually have no problem winning my lane, but what am I supposed to do when the enemy jg and mid both have 8 kills 20 mins in (none of which came from bot), and nobody wants to listen to you when you're trying to tell them to group up cause theres strength in numbers?

It's just really sad ;_; I know I'm a better player than this, but as a support, there is very little I can do when the enemy snowballs like this. I keep objectives warded, I try to keep paths warded depending on what we're pushing, peel for my team etc, all to no avail. Anyone figure out a super secret strat to climb that isn't "don't play support"? I don't really have the confidence to play other roles. You think it's cause it's still the start of the season?

its prob just for start cause there are so many people doing placements and although im only gold, i advise you to get a friend you can trust in adc and help you climb a little, then (im guessing) at the higher elos, people will understand how to deal with fed enemies

Ever tried finding a good duo partner? Goes a long way for a bot lane player

I've had a couple in the past, but they either stopped playing the game, or just never bothered re-queuing with me :. It's hard to find someone consistent.

When me and my main were on break, I played a lot of Blitzcrank Support. Teammates naturally gravitate toward a Blitzcrank and there's really no better signal to fight in all of League of Legends than a successful Blitzcrank hook.

I played him AP Off-Tank Blitz. This was before the Mid-Season 6 Mage Updates and all the Item Changes.

idk, I've never had an issue in other seasons, but this season mid/bot are going as bad as 0/15 extremely early on. Sometimes jungler tosses into that too. I really don't understand it. I've never lost more than 2 placement matches, and I'm 1-6 so far due to this.

I wish I could pull something to improve upon from these games, but there's nothing to learn when there's a lane (or jungle) that hard feeds every single game.

I play primarily top, so its hard to turn games when every other lane loses, we're then down 4 towers, and then everyone dogpiles top before I can get rolling. That happening at 15 minutes is absurd, yet its been happening a lot lately.
