dodge timer?

I dodged a game today, got a 5 minute timer. No biggie, I'll wait it out. Played a full game after that, then next champ select I accidentally pick the wrong champ, don't wanna play said champ so I dodge, and get hit with a whopping 30 minute dodge timer?? Why the hell did this happen?

Consecutive dodges increase the dodge timer.
