The jungle seems moderately healthy right now, with one caveat

I'm fine with gank-heavy snowballers being in the meta, but I wish champions without consistent innate sustain/damage/durability didn't need to snowball to be able to clear the jungle.

I haven't been playing a ton of SR recently, but it's not like there have been balance changes to the stats of the monsters in the past few patches, and the number of historically solid picks that have to go through their first clear in constant fear of seeing an enemy, any enemy, even the support is...troubling.

Hecarim, Nocturne, Vi, Diana, Volibear, Mundo...all have historically had the tools to clear with relative ease and speed (if not always being THE BEST), all now need to carefully plot their route to best about the enemy jungler, tune their runes in order to be allowed to clear at all, and carefully calculate exactly how many camps and which camps they can get away with taking on their side of the map before it becomes too risky. And that even considering early ganks.

Right now, a lot of meta picks either have ridiculous clearing/sustain tools, or go into the game planning to take the minimum number of camps they can to hit level 3 and gank, repeatedly.

I know catch-up xp is high, but the camps are hard to clear so if you really on items to clear and don't gank successfully, you're shit out of luck. They just had to buff SHYVANNA so she could clear. Shyvanna.

Don't even get me started on J4

Now, I'm not accusing riot of favoritism, or sucking at balance, or hating me personally...I just think they're a little too lazy/timid and reactive (rather than proactive) when it comes to tuning the levers (damage, tankiness, camp locations, number of camp targets, and starting items) of jungle clearing.

Personally, I've always felt that the house drain on item 1039 should be a (smaller) flat number + percentage of wielder's bonus hp or different percentage of wielder's ap, (eg steals 2+(1% bonus hp or 5% ap, whichever is higher), numbers for demonstration, not balance opinions). Even just that would make it feel so much better to be a jungler that doesn't wanna stack attack-speed or ad.

But mostly, do SOMETHING. Please, Riot, I'm begging you, stop leaving all jungle changes for pre-season, then aggressively changing numbers to try to force the result to look what you imagined, before giving up and waiting for next pre-season. Please give all jungler classes the tools they need to clear, and stop cycling in and out different kinds of clearers.

TL;DR Junglers I used to like suck at clearing now, I think riot is too cautious with systemically balancing the jungle around clears (except in pre-season) and I want Hunter's Talisman to scale with hp/ap

TL;DR TL;DR Wahhh! Wahhh! I suck at jungling and can't clear on the out of meta champions I insist on playing and I want Riot to balance around it!

can you provide a TL;DR

What are you, lazy?

people should do that for wall of text posts.

If you don't care enough about what he's saying to actually read what he wrote, why would you even want a TL;DR?

cared enough to ask if he could provide one.

Maybe he's interested and wants to know my thoughts, hut doesn't have the time, focus, patience, or interest to parse through the massive block of text caused by me trying to be nuanced and thorough.

Honestly, I don't blame him, if I hadn't written this I probably wouldn't want to read it either.

Done, though if other people have a better way to capture my overall point I would welcome suggestions.

I know I can get pretty wordy when I have a lot of thoughts about something and wanna make sure I touch them all, but being able to summarize is a decent measure of understand and coherence anyway, so I don't mind.
